Hi Jillie
Yeah, OH should have gone to work at 5am so was glad of an excuse to stay home. He's just making massive bacon butties to keep my strength up :j
TMI alert: I assumed waters would 'go' and that would be it but more and more keeps leaking - and its still like Niagra falls lmao :eek:My baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -
we're back up at the hospital today. be there for 2pm, but dont actually know when we wil get to see consultant/registrar. hopefully they will come up to the ward during clinic rather than waiting till it finishes or near the end. am doing a 'goody bag' for us as it gets a bit boring waiting around. although the mw will do all their checks first. so we will be on the baby monitor for a good bit which is nice as we get to hear the hb and see how it goes up and down depending on what they and i do...
so hopefully will find out when he wants to induce me.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Good morning.
Congratulations to Princesswoo and Jacksons mum. Good luck Jam and major labour vibes for ML.
Not been on MSE for a while, too busy just gazing at my amazing son Alex. He is so good, last feed about 11.30, one feed in the night between 3 and 4, then sleeps until about 7.30am. I can just about cope with that. lol x
Waiting for the midwife and HV. Whilst Alex is upstairs having some daddy time, and DS1 is at school.
Going to check facebook now and emails. Good luck to anyone who has scans coming up.0 -

Morning all... hope your weekends were lovely?
Managed to pick up the breast pump in the baby asda event this morning before work which was good only £10 yeyy..
Sleeping is becoming a mare.. my back is soo sore have a million pillows round me, poor hubby is squashed up.
I ate loads of cake at the weekend.. and had a glass of rose I've been craving for ages yummm x
Starting to stress about names, liked jessica but gone of since it was in a mag as one of the top 10 names.. just dont want her to be at school with 5 other girls having the same name, i did and it really bugged me. Want to steer clear of all the avas, ellies, imogens, evas etc.. so will wipe the slate clean and open minds further, wants something thats sounds powerful and not to girly girly..Received £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j
Received £1400 charges - 2006:j0 -
I'm having the same name problem nancmat - all my fave names are cropping up in the top 10 too and we don't have an unusual surname so need to come up with something a bit 'different'. The frustrating thing is that they're names I've loved for years, before they became popular lolMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

Hi Nanc,
Well done on the breast pump. The event doesn't actually start until tomorrow does it? Or is it today? If so, I will be heading to Asda after my midwife appointment.
Jessica is a lovely name. Don't be put off because it's popular. I recently read some statistics that showed that names in the top 5 in the 1960s made up a high percentage of names in the country (e.g. 20%), but nowadays because there is so much choice, even names in the top 5 only make up about 1%.
These stats are just examples as I can't remember where I read it and what the figures were, but it was quite interesting. You assume that there must be 10 Jacks in a class because it's been the most popular name for years, but I don't think it's that bad really!0 -

Theres at least 10 Jacks in DD yr at school! And the school only has a roll of about 800-900! And thats them all 12/13yrs now so she knows plenty of other Jacks both older and younger :rotfl:
The only problem with a really popular name is that the child will never be referred to as just 'Jack', its always Jack Surname IYKWIM??
Even in the xmas cards they used to give each other at primary school it was Merry Christmas from Jack Surname, a bit of a shame they feel they can't just write Jack.0
