All this Hanson talk has me now listening to 3 Car Garage, good job I'm home alone or there'd be plenty of laughing at me :)

I love the Lucy song, can't find it on Spotify :( Boo hoo, will have to hunt for the CD!

I was ridiculed as a kid for my name, it's not weird, it's just old and the only ever one of me I've met has been over 60!! I love it though, wouldn't change it for the world, it's classic and sounds 'proper' :) That's what I want for my kid, hence the old fashioned names.

Right, need to get ready for midwife appointment. I am 39+1 today. Is there any chance of me being offered a sweep or is it unlikely? I have done my bikini line just in case!!!

I think, as with everything, they all have they're own rules but don't think they'll do a sweep before 40wks at least. Have heard of some where its 40+10!
You can ask tho, and its always best to be prepared ;)

Not sure if I want a sweep - would probably rather just wait for nature to take it's course (as long as it doesn't take too long!). Was just trying to remember what has happened to others previously on here. I think maybe Tara had early sweeps, but most people have to wait until their due date has passed.

Don't think I have done a good job of my bikini line though!!!!

    Will report back later. x

I've been thinking about this a lot and don't fancy a sweep either :o They didn't even exist when i had DD so not sure how effective they even are?? Would rather go natural or induced at hospital. Plus I hate my CMW and her fingers are coming no where near me :rotfl:

  • Im back from asda and belly monkeys still doing somersaults. Just built up my glider chair and sat rocking in it now, hoping the motion might lull her to sleep :D

My surnames a not very common first name (Unless your in scotland) I did suggest mine as a first name if we had a boy and found out OH's grandad who passed away before we met was called it! He just never thought to mention it

Another boy choice was Reuben which I love. Me and OH are planning on marrying in approx 18 months so babies going to have his surname which rhymes with 'her' so choosing names is slightly awkward as anything finishing with a 'ca' sound makes it sound like you have a stutter saying your name. As will my full name once we're married!

sounds we're all having money problems this week...not a great start to the Monday. DH is two seconds away from resigning his job, as due to all the horrible bullying etc. he's been left with almost no other choice. Now he's being forced to work an office where he has to pay over £6.50/day out of pocket for parking and we're incredibly desperate...I'm trying so hard not to cry at work but honestly don't know what to do as we can't afford for him to stay but also can't afford for him to be jobless (even a couple wks gap in pay would reck us so much when we're already v stretched). Sorry, needed to vent briefly as is v hard to deal with this and also keep calm face at my desk.

Labor vibes for Jam & ML...and anyone else who wants some!

would like to win a holiday, please!!

Ohh Aless hugs, it'll all be ok try not to worry, could he get public transport in to work? A lift?

We're skint til Friday when I can pay myself, counting down the days (keep wasting money on baby things, need hands slapping!). Saw a car we think we're going to buy yesterday but they gave such appallng part ex figure on my car we're waiting for them to get back to us, if they don't up it we're going to have to find the pennies somewhere :/

Just spoke to my mum on the phone, going to pop over for lunch in half an hour once I've done my work for the day. Had a rant about OH's family and names, she said sod them (she dislikes them almost as much as I do) call the baby whatever you like - tell them next time you've decided you like Emily instead of Emmeline just to wind them up :) God bless my mum, I love her.

p.s. think I might just be in love with Zac Hanson...!
