Jackson's Mum - Congrats on the new arrival, you must be over the moon

Lil miss - such lovely pics, thanks for sharing and congrats

Raggydoll - well done an welcome to the thread.

weezl - congrats and welcome back x

On the car front we have an escort, its a good size car, but as its nearly 10 years old not great to get stage 1 car seats in so we may need to re evaluate when we get past stage 0! If we had the money would love to get a C max but dont think thats going to happen any time soon. Our major issue is having a large dog who goes everywhere with us, including our regular visits to my mums 3hrs away. Have chosen the XLR as it still leaves us lots of room in our boot for other stuff, and no not the dog.

On the car seat front, its suprising what will go in cars, the size and amount have doors has no relevance. I fit car seats all day long (well did before PG) and it never ceases to amaze me how many so called family cars are useless!

Bought an excercise ball today as it was pay day, hoping it will help with the back. Just wondering how often people use theirs?

Normal stuff is an exercise in itself - especially picking things up off the floor:rotfl:
I would have loved to have helped with the dog walking but wales is a bit far away from scotland i agree:rotfl:

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius and I would not recommend it. It's the only condenser I have had, so can't really compare it to anything but I assume others must be better. You can't go out and leave it on as the whole place steams up so you need to leave a window and door open. It's works ok, you need to empty the water and the fluff filter after each use, but that's not a problem. It just seems strange the amount of steam caused and I wouldn't have thought this was normal!

Thanks... It's my dad that has stipulated that it must be a condenser because of the condensation factor. But i may have words if it still means needing a window open. May as well save the money and get vented one if that is the case.

My car is 13 years old :rotfl: And it's teeny and has 3 doors, but cheap and cheerful and gets me from A to B so no chance of affording a new one for me

I only got a newish car last year. Previously I had a lovely 11 year old rust bucket Polo which didn't even have power steering!! I loved it though and used it until it wasn't worth repairing the exhaust. My new car is great as it has so many gadgets, but it's still cheap to run and tax.

three - my parents have a vented one (I think - it's got a hose that goes out through a hole in the door??!) and it's much better. But as I say, maybe other condensers would be better. I can't imagine why they would be designed to steam the place up. Even 1 window open isn't enough, we also have to open the back door. Just avoid Hotpoint I think!
  • Fitzio i love my vented dryer i think it is great and i cheat in the winter and dont use the hose so it heats the Flat (have dehumidifiers because of fish tanks) very mse. just dad wants a condenser mum would be happy having anything She has just done her house up and replaced the old fashioned radiators so has no where to dry clothes when the weather is bad. And i have to collect my element for mine tomorrow as i blew it up with a nail that was in overalls ooops thank god it wasn't the washer we just bought it. washing day for me tomorrow. erm don't know if i should be happy or sad:confused:

  • Hi everyone, only just caught up!!

ML - Hope things are going ok for you.

We had the same comments about our car. We sold our 306 estate and bought a Golf earlier this year, not long before we found out we were expecting. And so many people said ooh you shouldnt have sold your estate!! Well we love our golf, its the first time we have bought a car just cos we loved it!!

Got that low achy feeling again for the last 10 mins or so, I am wondering if its a combination of eating crud (which I tend to do at this time of night) and sitting back on the sofa??

Glam, thanks for that pic of the uterus you posted, that was interesting. I googled uterus afterwards and found a good pic here to help me imagine where baby is, so i have been feeling bump trying to work out where he is, I am none the wiser though, hehe!!

    xx
