We bought a new (to us) car a couple of years ago, when our first car basically was unuseable any more. We decided then to go for a bigger car (though to be honest, most cars are bigger than a ka which is what we were driving!) as we knew we wanted a family in the future. So we have a focus c-max zetec which we both love. I believe the first reaction of my brother in law when he saw the car was 'are they pregnant?' :rotfl:

Just been to the docs and I'm measuring 31cm at 34+2 so they told me to make an appointment next week at the hospital so I rang the hospital and they said the doc has to refer me :rolleyes: why are these things never simple. The midwife at the hospital said I should try to be seen today so now I don't know if I should wait for a call to go to the hospital or go to work. At home I'm only 20mins from the hospital but at work I'm an hour away - could just work from home, my boss wouldn't mind but I had planned to do some filling today... umm, not sure what to do.

jenny - I would be inclined to work from home and get the doctor to refer you. Filing will always be there another day in work and you'd probable feel better being close to the hospita if they can fit you in today.

We didn't have sex on the Wednesday but I was mortified cos I thought that my waters smelt like sperm!

My fave position when having a contraction was on all fours, with my head resting on either the sofa, bed or bouncy ball (when I got on the ward) and rocking gently back and for. And wear a watch!!!
It's bliss when you get to the last 10 secs!!
