    Hi nozza,

I'm sure others will be along with more info, but we have a TT micro one and an avent steam one, and find the Micro one much better because you can also do cold-water sterilising in it, which is much more MSE :money::money::money:

  • Hi,
    Welcome to the newbies!
Congrats to LilMiss and Jackson's Mum.
    Hope everyone's ok.
I haven't been on much recently, so trying to skim read to catch up, as I've been feeling fairly grotty - I'm struggling to hide it at work.
Had my first visit with the midwife, who reckons I'm due on the 12th April, not the 14th... and I'm apparently 9+5 weeks at the moment.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Another friend who had a baby a few months ago, would not trade in her beloved Mini. She bought an I Candy Cherry which fits in the boot apparently for those looking at smaller prams. However I think she is finding it a bit of a struggle as she can't get much else in the car or take more passengers if DH and mother etc are there.

Right, shutting up and leaving now! In my medium sized car!! lol.

Sorry to keep dipping in but logging on at work!

I Candy Cherry doesn't fit in 107/Aygo/C1 as boot won't shut- I tried it as my friend has one :p

We did actually change our 3 door 107 for a 5 door 107 before I got pg, as the 3 door one would have been horrendous in the way you describe!
We only have the one car so when I am on mat leave I am guessing DH will have it at work so will be walking anyway, unless specify I need to use the car.
When travelling to our parents we will have the baby on one back seat and the cat in his cat box on the other one (there are only 2 back seats) so we'll have one footwell oin the back and the passenger footwell and the wee boot for other stuff, although won't need to bring the pushchair as we have the use of one at both destinations :D planning ahead!

:o We are one of the sad people who did go out and buy a new bigger car, when it became obvious this pregnancy was going to stick. Even worse, it was the Q7 :D

We did too lol, in our defence, our other car was dying, and it made sense to get a decent sized one to replace it?

We have a Bravo, still not that massive though lol but we made sure the boot was a nice size, with 5 doors as well, it made sense to us to do that lol

csh - is it nice? cos I love that with chips and rice, can I be sad and ask you how many calories is in a packet?

    Is very yummy!

speaking of car boots, we MUST be doing something wrong b/c our Chicco (which all the reviews says is good b/c it folds up really small) didn't fit in the generously-size boot of DH's car! We wound up putting the back seats down to get it to fit, but I think it's b/c the seat on the pram was facing the wrong way?? Always thought he had big boot but now am thinking otherwise!

Aless, meant to say well done for getting the chicco duo for me stroller for £85? Mine was £170. did you get the car seat with it aswell/

The seat has to be facing forward for it to fold up properly and it will stand up on its own when it is folded properly - ours folds up to about 1.5m by 70 cm (approx:o:rotfl:) hope this is a bit of a help.

edit; thinking about it those sizes seem a bit wrong:o anyway it fits in an astra 5 door boot.

Right - thats the second load of baby clothes on to wash. While this is good, it does however mean that I have the first load to iron now
