moneyangel - I didn't chart so had no idea what DPO I was on. I just knew I was pregnant.
Jack's umbilical cord just fell off _pale_
Wish MW would hurry up - I hate waiting in and every other time she's come before 1pm.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Hi Moneyangel, I didn't know I was pregnant till a couple of weeks after my missed period so can't help you there but you should check with the ladies on the TTC (trying to conceive thread) as they are symptom spotting experts!

Hurray, my doc has been super efficient for once (she is new to the surgery, I wonder if it will last!) and has got me booked in at the hospital for 3:30 today.

Jenny - it may just be they have a policy of checking just to be sure
we were a little small at 13 wks (5% percentile) but cub had caught up by 20 wks and has been ave-large on the fundal height since about 34 wks so don't worry. I asked my MW about it and she said they don't set too much store by the fundal height as a measurement, it's more a guide. I was palpating fine so she never sent me for any further scans or checks even when we were right on the edge of the grey zone.
Hope it goes well thoughMFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

That's great jenny - I bet there is nothing at all wrong but nice to get things checked out. let us know how you get on! xx
I measured ahead of dates a while back, and the midwife was afraid of a big baby, so sent me for a scan - turned out bubs was a little above average length and fine weight, so can be hard to tell just by a tape measure. On wednesday I was measuring a perfect 38 for 38 weeks, but both midwives thought she was going to be a big baby (or have a big head!) but my most recent scan a couple of weeks ago are still showing her on track to be a 7.5 - 8.5lb bubs so not that big. (And they told me she has a lovely shaped and sized head)I'm inclined to go with the scan!

I don't know I just did!
We decided in December to start trying this year but not until August 2009 - we used the withdrawal method of contraception as I am allergic to hormones. Jack was conceived on either Christmas Eve or New Years Eve (both a bit drunk!)
My period was due on the Thursday and from the Monday, I kept saying to OH 'I'm sure I'm pregnant' - no symptoms really just kind felt different.
Thursday came and that night I had a small bleed which had stopped by Saturday. By then, I felt strange because I knew I was pregnant but I'd had a period
On the Monday I bought a HPT and got a BFP!!!
Good luck with it - it's the best thing in the world! My Jack is a week old and I can't imagine life with out him :AA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Afternoon everyone & bumps.
Trying to do a bit more research as still completely new to this being the first pregnancy and still alot to find out about.
Can anyone advise on steriliser? Am holding out to the ASDA event next week to hopefully pick up some bargains.
Have also found the following:
- Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Microwave Steam Steriliser on the pramcentreonline website at half price at £9.78
( I recently bought a cotbed from them and they were really good)
Is the Tommee Tippee electronic steam steriliser a better piece of equipment rather than the microwave one.
Does anyone know which one will be reduced at the ASDA event next week (listed as Tommee Tippee Steriliser £10) ??
Thanks all0 -
Hi nozza,
I'm sure others will be along with more info, but we have a TT micro one and an avent steam one, and find the Micro one much better because you can also do cold-water sterilising in it, which is much more MSE :money::money::money:
