Jillie glad you're home!!
I think kindof is chief catcherer-upper today :rotfl:0 -
Jillie- Glad you are home!
I had late (37wk) onset severve eclampsia with DD. I had post delivery fits and was in intensive care. I'm on egg shells just now waiting to see if its going to happen again so in a similiar situation to you.
If I show the slightest sign of anything starting up I will be induced straight away, I really wish I could go into labour just now just to cut out the worry.
At the moment I feel like every day he's still in there, increases the chances of something going wrong.
As you are 38wks tomorrow, I certainly, If i were you, wouldn't have a problem with being induced early.
Another point to note, even if I don't show any signs of PE and go into natural labour I've to go to the hospital as soon as anything starts as PE can come on during labour too so they need me in for constant monitoring.
Reading that back it sounds like I'm trying to scare you, I truely am not.
It really is the not knowing thats the worst x

If you drink tea or coffee (I think it's only ordinary caffienated ones) 2 hours before or an hour after taking the tablet it can interfere with absorption apparently. If you don't take them too you will keep getting a low reading and they will keep nagging you to go for more blood tests.
Also, Glam if you're about you will know this. I am interested in taking calcium tablets for pain relief and also because I'm worried as my last pg seemed to take it's toll on my teeth and hair much more than I expected. Are normal calcium tablets the ones you took or did you take special pg ones or (am I being silly)? I noticed that most of them come with vitamin D which I'm sure is something to do with aiding absorption but I didn't know if you are supposed to avoid too much of that in pregnancy (like they say you shouldn't take vit A).
The normal calcium that comes with vit D is fine, I don't think you can find it without vit D anyway?? but it's one of those vits that your body just gets rid of the excessKindof - the facebook group is the MSE gossiping girls and guys group-it used to be called the pregnancy group but think they've been adding people from other parts of the forum.

thanks csh!!
we knew when we started ttc we it was never gonna be straight forward, however just on this group, its amazing how many pregnancies are never normal.
the consultant did say there would be no problem in inducing me as i'm classed as full term. had a growth scan as well today and they are happy with baby size etc. the registrar who saw me first today was quite happy to induce me this week, it was my consultant who said to wait.
i have been told that if i do start labour myself to ring delivery unit and explaining my essential hypertension and that they will more than likely bring in me then, for same reason incase i develop pre-eclampsia.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Been reading the conversations about iron tablets with interest. I didnt realise about not taking at same time as drinking tea either, nor about taking them on an empty stomach (doh, this is common sense really isnt it!!). Im on 2 a day at the moment.
It says:
Ferrous Sulphate tablets should not be taken within one hour before or two hours after eating or drinking the following products: tea, coffee, milk, egs and whole grains. These products can reduce the absorption of iron. Meat or products containing vitamin C can increase absorption of iron.

I didn't realise there was anything about taking iron tablets with milk as I always have it after cereal during the week??? There was nothing about any of this in with my prescription!! Anything i found out was off the internet.
A few with November due dates seem to have antental sooner than me - i am due 1st Nov and was told to book them after 34 week?? So only start mine next week. Two weeks for 1hr 45mins each - doesn't seem much compared to other districts in Norwich. What have others got?
Harley - I was just given my iron tablets in a pot nothing else with it.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
