Evening ladies

Well Things didnt go to plan but joey has arrived safely at 6:59 this morning weighing in at 8lb 11oz . I will post some pics tomorrow and do my birth story. It wasnt what was planned but hasnt been totally horrendus infact its kind of re-established my faith in maternity units :-)

Well people know how to make a baby feel wanted don't they. Hubby keeps saying it when taking about the baby not him and now both sets of parents know the sex as they wanted to, i was happy to keep it secret and lets just say they didn't show much enthusiasm that we are having another boy. Both my dad and fil haven't said a word and both my mum and mil have just said ahh nice for ds to have a brother but shame it wasn't a girl. Both sets of parents have one grand daughther but both are not at all close in distance and relationships as they only really see them at easter, family do's and xmas. I think knowing has taken the excitement and suprise away for them and i wish they didn't know. It is making me feel sad that he isn't a girl now though. I want the relationship with a daughter like i have with my mum. Both our mums are close to our DS but i know they would have loved a girl to be close to. Hubby has already said we had better have another one while our 2nd is young and not to leave such a large gap next time. I wasn't planning on having any more children after this one.

Aww hugs Elasti. I bet it will all be different when the baby is here.

The grandparents probably don't realise they are displaying any disappointment and I am sure they will love your son as much as you will. My parents don't appear to be overly interested at all, and it's their first grandchild. But I think it's just the way they are, and will be super excited when baby is here.
