    Congratulations xmas and joey!

I can't believe it's been long enough since the monster was born that I'm not on the birth list any more!!! Good vibes of various flavours to all of you :)

    Ah, elasti, he is beautiful.

I feel really conned now. I paid £65 to local hospital but only really got a normal scan. They tried to take 3D pics but could only see still pic not video like that. My little girl kept her face hidden too so I didn't even get a good photo for my money.

We got a 20 min dvd both of 2d and 4d scan which also has the heartbeat recorded on, a cd rom of 56 pictures of him. 6 6x4 prints of our choice and one 10x8 print. It was worth it but wished he had been a little bit more cooperative lol.

I didn't realise there was anything about taking iron tablets with milk as I always have it after cereal during the week??? There was nothing about any of this in with my prescription!! Anything i found out was off the internet.

A few with November due dates seem to have antental sooner than me - i am due 1st Nov and was told to book them after 34 week?? So only start mine next week. Two weeks for 1hr 45mins each - doesn't seem much compared to other districts in Norwich. What have others got?

Harley - I was just given my iron tablets in a pot nothing else with it.

I was told that they book you onto them from 32 weeks here (which I am) but actually most people there tonight were 33 or 34 weeks, but I guess that's because you have to start the course of three classes at the start, IFSWIM.

Class was okay actually- not a great deal that I hadn't already read but it was nice to hear it in relation to my hospital and I think it was really good for OH.

My iron tablets came in a tub too, and I didn't think they had a leaflet with them so had no idea. I have found that Boots have put the sticky label with my details over a folded leaflet which I hadn't realised before so I had no idea it was there (better check the tub again Karen as it sounds like you have the same as me!).

Never mind, it's obviously not that urgent if it's only because it reduces the absorption and I am only borderline anyway. If I am taking 3 a day and can't take it within hours of taking milk, tea, coffee, eggs etc. then I have no chance! I am lucky to remember to take them at all never mind fitting them round my food!

Have taken 1 of my Ranitidine about an hour ago. So far so good! No foamy burps!!! :o

I had one pot of iron tablets with the fold out label, and one with just a standard label and no further info . I did know about not taking them with tea/ coffee/ milk etc though as I googled it.

I feel surprisingly wide awake tonight! Going out must knock the tiredness out of me. Might stay up a bit later tonight in the hope that I sleep in tomorrow as it's my day off. Did I mention only 8 days left at work?!

GISI - that's exactly what I thought. I had read up on most stuff either in books or on here, but it was good to hear from a local perspective as my hospital has certain policies such as they use diamorphine but everyone on here talks about pethidine etc.

And I was 35 weeks when I started my classes and they last for 4 weeks! Tomorrow is the last one so at least I managed them all.

Glad you have a day off tomorrow. When is your actual finish date?

Tomorrow I am going to Bravissimo to get measured for nursing bras and DH is taking a half day so going to Ikea to get a kitchen unit hopefully.
  • Finish date is Friday 18th- I have four days left this week (working Saturday) then four next week too!

Ooh, let us know how you get on at Bravissimo tomorrow. I need to find somewhere to get measured.

Off to bed now to read my new book. I miss OH when he's on nights but it is nice to have the whole bed!

Just caught up, been too busy sleeping to post! and watching the 9/11 thing.

CONGRATULATIONS Lolly! Can't wait for another BS, I love reading them.

My antenatal classes start next week, I'll be 35weeks but I booked at my booking in appointment and that was the earliest I could get. Keep thinking I need to start buying more things - still haven't got the pram yet  Just been too busy. I have my list of things to buy though so will print that off tomorrow and hopefully that will get me focused.

    Comgratulations Xmas.

Just nipping on to have a quick read before bed, been busy cleaning the house from top to bottom agagin today. I dont think it could shine anymore than it does but it still doesnt feel clean enough.

Then when i had finished moving everything around to dust and put it back DF said i hope you have a space for this - i turned round and he was holding a bottle of cristal champagne, my mouth hit the floor. Its like £200 a bottle. I have been holding it like its a newborn baby all night. I am in utter shock - i have been dropping hints since we went to paris in january but i honestly never expected him to buy me one. Its my present for carrying his child and giving her a lovely safe home for 9 months.

Baby seems like she's going to stay put till thursday - in fact i have told her to as everything is organised for thursday now so there's no point in her coming even a day early as we would descend into utter chaos. Saying that it still doesnt feel like she'll be here in 2 days time. But i think she kniws her days are numbered as she must be throwing a farewell party in there as she hasnt stopped jiving all day, i dont think she's engaged anymore as when i was picking DS up from school i felt her flip and stretch out so much that i let out a little yelp and the pain of her twisting and strecthing brought tears to my eyes.

    Hello,

I have been lurkiing here on and off since I found out I was pregnant and now I cannot believe I am over 35 weeks!!!

I am finishing work this Friday :T and I can't wait!

I was wondering if you guys would kindly look at what I have packed for the hospital (just in case) and let me know if I have got everything I will need...

    ME
    Slippers
    2 Nursing Bras
    5 pairs of knickers
    Nightie (to give birth in)
PJ's - you'll want a nightie for after rather than pj's more comfy
Jogging pants, T-Shirt and Jumper to come home in
    10 breast pads
    10 maternity pads
    small shampoo, showergel and deo
    Hairbrush and bands
    Toothbrush and paste
    Make-up

    BUMP
    3 short sleeve babygrows
    3 long sleeve babygrows
    3 sleepsuits - i would take 5 of each
    coming home outfit
    2 hats
    2 scratch mitts
    2 bibs
    2 muslins
    wipes

Obviously I need nappies - but how many? 10

And do I need to take some of my own formula milk? no, hospital should provide but might be worth double checking.

Also I know I need camera, change for car park, car seat and blanket...

    Can't think of anything else!

    What do you reckon?

    Thanks in advance! :o
