  • Someone mentioned a little while ago about using baby wash instead of regular shower gel as it's much kinder to your delicate bits after the birth

MIL gave me some sort of anti-bacterial soap but it weighed a tonne so I left it out. Maybe I should put it back in. Straw might be a good shout. Will pop a couple in with snacks and drinks! Thanks.

SJ - It is actually baby wash I have packed instead of shower gel - but I couldn't remember what it was called when typing this list though!! ha ha. I need to learn the baby lingo. I knew it wasn't baby lotion or baby bath! Thanks!
  • Right, off for a shower then take another Christmas cake out of the oven, then up to my sister's to try on my wedding dress for the last time before the wedding!! Got my mum meeting me there so she can make the slight alteration to the modesty panel at the back for me.

God I really hope it still fits!!!!!

Will be back on later but hope everyone has a good day in the mean time x

instead of the anti-bac soap you could use the wipes, i'll be taking them to clean surfaces and side bars of bed cot etc. Have seen the way the cleaners work and quite frankly my 9 yr old DS cleans better. My pound shop had a twin pack of them so worth a look.

What about your RLT read allot of people drinking it cold during labor with ice(think the vimto trick may be required though). Also the tea in hospital is shocking lol

That's ok, I'm just getting used to it myself, I know nappies, cot and babygrow but after that I start to get stuck!! :rotfl:

Fitz do you really need lotion, cream etc? can't you take just 1 that you can use for all of those things?

eta - i didn't pack half as much as you :o:p

fitzio this advice maybe to late for you but may be usefull to others with time. I have a collection of samples i was going to use because they are light and don't take up allot of room. Check out the freebies thread and search the web. There the mostly the little sachets for single use but i don't want to look like i'm off for a trip when leaving for the hosp or returning lol

I have only packed miniatures so they don't take up much room. I thought I had cut my toiletries to a minimum so not sure what I could leave out (already ditched conditioner, no make up, dumped the soap, no hair products etc).

I didn't think I would need very much, but everyone recommends different things and I have never been in hospital before! Hadn't even thought about towels until reading others lists!

Three - I have a few miniatures that I have purchased, but most were obtained from hotel rooms on our honeymoon ha ha.

Went to aquanatal :) It was great, I'm so glad I went but I think I was the furthest along there, should have started earlier :o. It cost £5.70 because I wasn't a member but as I'll only be going to no more than 9 classes I don't mind. Always did you go? I don't know what you look like so don't know if you were there :o.

I did - only when I was thinking on the way out about talking about aquanatal the other day and linked Jenny from Streatham and the conversation about St Georges and the user name - silly me! Will almost certainly be there next week, short and fat in my turquoise bikini - will keep an eye out for you!

Right, off for a shower now and then going to Homebase/B&Q to buy shelving for the kitchen hopefully. Will check back later to see if anyone has any further advice. Thanks to those who have responded so far.

Hope everyone has a good day. x
