xmaslolly76 wrote: »Morning ladies
thank you for all the well wishes, she was moved to a normal ward yesterday as she was improving but has been back down to intensive care late last night as she took a funny turn. We are hopeing she will back on the normal ward soon. :-)
Well i thought it was action stations last night from 7:30 until 3:30am i was getting really painfull tightenings to the point i had to put my tens machine on but once we got to 3:30 am it all just stopped im getting the odd one now. OH has had a feel of my cervix and said he can get his finger in there now and its soft ( he recons he can feel babies head but i dont know) so i think something is definately going on the other day it was still solid when he did my EPO.
Nanc thats awfull it does really make you think i'm so sorry for their loss :-( x
Oh, Xmas, men are so funny! Although maybe he did feel the baby's head......
Really hope your MW friend makes a speedy recovery. My uncle was in a horrific accident about 20 years ago, and he was so bad they said he shouldn't have survived. He made a full recovery and now suffers no ill effects from it whatsoever (and hasn't for many, many years), so it is possible.
Nanc- so sorry to hear about your friend's baby. I just can't imagine how hard that must be.
Well I slept till 9:30 this morning and feel really good for it. I did wake up about a million times, but made myself think about boring, non-stressful things and go back to sleep!
On another note I am a very bad money saver! Last night I bought a gorgeous maternity wrap dress and a posh maternity top on eBay as I have a party in a couple of weeks and nothing smart to wear. I also then have OH's 30th the week after which will be a posh meal out and again require a smart outfit. Spent £25 I didn't mean to, but they are really nice, and hopefully I can sell them on after to make some of it back.
Need to get some of OH's present today. He doesn't want much but I'd like to get him a baby grow that says 'If you think I'm cute you should see my Daddy', a DVD he wants and a voucher for a massage as that's something I know he would really like.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
morning all.
Sounds like you are getting close Xmas How is your friends recovery going hope it is a fast one.
Nanc hope your friend is doing well after her loss too.
I made the mistake of leaving the remote unattended and i'm now stuck watching kids TV, at least i have the lappy lol Rotten day here again raining on and off and after a little accident with a carton of juice i need to wash my jacket so will need to dodge the downpours. need to invest in a fast drying light waterproof jacket. (wonder if i could pull off a rain mac lol)
Dam pregnancy brain forgot to send vibes to glam and the baby. hope they are home soon.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Bear im really not sure about the plug ive done it twice before and with both the others it came away looking like brown gloy gum with little bloody streaks what i got this time is like jellified mucus that you can stretch with your fingers had a really big splog first thing this morning when i stood up out of bed. Bubs is definately down very low i can feel him and there is major pressure on my cervix region. I didnt want to call them yet as i thought i knew what full contraction felt like after the other two but after speaking to friend who got to almost 8cm dialated with nothing but a few tummy cramps im not so sure what is going on. I think im just going to wait the day out and see what happens. Maybe this birth isnt going to be as agressive as the other two it would be nice but im not counting my chickens yet :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Apologies, this list looks massive, but seriously, it's a flaming nightmare trying to pack stuff! Any advice welcome (stuff I don't need or anything I have forgotten). We stay 10 mins from hospital, so hubby can always bring things in the next day if necessary. The things in red are what I still have to buy. TIA. x

what about a straw seen them mentioned so you can get a sip of water easier if needed.
also soap only saying because hospital soap irritates the life out of me, plus a mild baby one would be great to clean the muslins to reuse (i used the top and tailer to rinse them at night)[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j
