Everyone is coming out of hiding now!

Boo - I have had heartburn, but didn't think it was too bad in the early days, however it is almost every day now and I am sure it's part of what has given me so much pain and made me ill. I have been taking Gaviscon tablets which give me short term relief but apart from that I am just riding it out. If you get it at night you are meant to prop yourself up with pillows to keep your head up.

Bear - I haven't bought any nursing vests yet. I know the Mothercare ones were highly recommended before on here, but then Sugar said earlier today that she didn't like them. My problem with the vests is that they have strappy straps and I need to wear a well supporting bra! Will probably just wait until the baby is here to see how I get on with breastfeeding first I think. If I am only in the house for the first few days I don't suppose it matters what I am wearing as I can just whip it off (unless we have visitors of course!!!).

Boogelly - glad you and baby are ok too. Lots of people having scares today. Hope everyone else is ok.

Thanks fitz, hope elasti girl is ok
Boogellyboo so glad everything is ok for u, it's such a worry isnt it ?? The midwife at St georges was so good, she even bumped us the queue for a scan. we got asked if they could test the umbilical cord for research after the birth. I know what u mean when we were having the scan bumper was moving around so much. So I am now sat with my feet up, must admit could get used to this.

Ive been the same since I got home Lou, went to bed for a couple of hours as I was so tired. Last night I was really uncomfortable so barely got any sleep, dreading to think how much worse it'll be with 10 more weeks bump growth!

Im still showing Ive got a water infection too which the midwife told me last wednesday at my 28 week check but hadnt heard back whether I needed antibiotics, they've sent this sample off too so hopefully it'll either clear up on its own or they'll sort it now.

Mmm, OH just made me a tea of veggie burger in a bun and it was lovely. After my batch cooking exploits earlier I didn't feel like cooking or eating so he came to the rescue. Gotta love 'em.......

Lou and Boogelly, I'm so glad that your bubs were wriggling away in there.

Princess- that top picture is just gorgeous.

Gisi thats a lovely bump piccie, I really need to start taking some of mine. I hate having my piccie taken (unless Im drunk then Im a camera hog!) but I know I'll look back and be annoyed with myself for not having any.

Id finally decided on a glider chair too, its this one http://www.kiddisave.co.uk/store/product/606/Cosatto-Recline-Glider-Chair-&-Nursing-Pillow-Be-Bop/
But Im now thinking I might hang on until babies here to order it as its very pink, just incase belly monkeys a boy :rotfl:

  • Love your bump pic GISI, I must get on and post one of mine soon as I'm a week behind you.

Jillie & Fitzio, thanks for the advice about heartburn, gonna try a glass of milk in a minute and if it carries on then I think I will ask the doctors for a prescription cos I dont like it, lol!!

Boogelly I know what you mean sleeping when we have about 10 weeks more bump!! :o I am finding the pillow between my knees and sleeping on my side the best, not that theres much other option, haha!! Me and DH still keep ending up in seperate beds as there just isnt room for us 4 (him, me, bump and long pillow!!) We have a standard double bed and its wahey too small for it all. On the B&B we stayed in it had 2 singles pushed together which I understand is the same width as a superking and it was excellent!! We werent bothering each other at all. Trouble is our bedroom isnt big enough for a SK so may invest in a kingsize bed, just not sure it will be worth it for the small increase in width.

    xx

Nice pics Princess - sorry about your friend. Maybe she just forgot, but it was a bit thoughtless.

Nice bump GISI. Glad you enjoyed your dinner and that hubby made it for you!

My veg curry was really nice and DH enjoyed it too. Right, off to watch some Entourage with DH now and then maybe have a bath. I am quite cold tonight for the first time in about 6 months!
Might pop back later to catch up seeing as everyone wants to chat now. x

    no prob fattybooboo!!

please do take gaviscon though, as the acid can build up in your stomach, turning into reflux which can make you sick. (its how i ended up in hospital- too much acid)
