csh - i just ran them and got it reduced to £1 a week  Lol!! Not keen on being in debt to them for 100 weeks but i don't wanna leave myself short, struggling as it is!
He's still claiming too, but separately. When we were jointly claiming it was my name as main i think so that'll be why. I checked his bank account online the other day (i know, naughty lol) and he's been spending 3 times as much as he's got, stupid idiot. The funny thing is, he's staying with relative and has nothing but his phone bill to pay, yet he hasn't paid his phone bill, and has sworn to me he hasn't been out socialising, but instead sat in his grannie's loft watching tv this whole time and looking for a job!!
Really?? So how come you've been drawing out £30 a DAY when you've apparently nothing to spend it on?
OMG he's such a loser. It's worse cos he never used to be such a waster and has always had really good jobs and v.strong opinions on debt/money management. Yet in 18 months he's managed to get into £15k worth of debt AND has had £10k divorce money.
Rant:o

That sucks big time Beenie. Glad you got it down to £1 a week though as that sounds more managable (but still not fair).
Had a very frugal morning after a lazy start! Lounged in bed till 9am even though I was wide awake and it was lovely. Then dyed my roots and shaved my legs- OH will think I've got another man :heart2:.
Then paid in sponsorship money- I don't know if anyone remembers me saying I organised a 10km walk a few weeks ago but we raised £472 from it so that was good. Got the cheque sent off too.
Then the frugal bit- got apples, strawberries, plums, an aubergine and a butternit squash from market for £3. Popped into Lidl and got some more bargain tomatoes and currently have the bedrock tomato sauce from last night's Economy Gastronomy bubbling away on the hob. Does anybody watch it? Last night's episode was really good.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Right GISI - you have given me a virtual kick up the backside! You have been busy! I have stuff organised for most days I am on leave, but today is my 1 day of the week where I was having a lazy day. But feeling really guilty as I haven't even showered yet!!! Going to go and get ready and then maybe pop out for some fresh air. Can't believe it's so late actually! Going to make a mushroom and potato curry for dinner. In fact if I don't make it out of the house, at least I could do some more batch cooking and achieve something!
Anyone heard from Glam today? Not like her to not have been on by now. Wonder if her Asda pineapples have started working early!0 -
Glad to be of service, Fitz. I really enjoyed cooking up my sauce this morning- very therapeutic. Just eating some of it with pasta now and it is yum.
I was really lucky today as I totally avoided the rain. It was glorious sunshine, then suddenly tipped it down but I was already safely in the car by then.
Glam- where are you? Let us know you're around and that you and OH haven't finished each other off!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
GISI - I did! In fact, I commented to you on the thread in OStop 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Hey ladies - I promised a review of the stick-to-your-clothes nursing pads and here it is:
They're great if they're in a well fitting bra and all you're doing is walking/sitting/nursing. If I lie down my boobs escape past them and I leave wet patches on the bedlinen *blushes*.
I wore them today with a Mothercare nursing vest and no bra, and they were grand - stayed in place and no leakage, although the monster grabbed one of them while I'd moved it out of the way so she could nurse. So much for discretion...
BTW, I hate the Mothercare vests. The plastic clasps are not the most reliable if you're carrying something like a bag ... or a baby, so you're in danger of overexposure, and they think an 8 is a 36 and not a 34 inch chest so be aware of the sizing.
I hope everyone's doing well and you September ladies are all gearing up ready to go. Good luck/labour vibes/sticky dust/big hugs everyoneOrganised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

GISI you're lucky - my car is still in the garage so I had to get the bus to work again and it's a 20 minute walk from the bus stop to work, all uphill and it was raining! Didn't even bother bringing my umbrella cos it was so windy it would juts have blown me away like Mary Poppins!!
Well done with the sponsorship by the way!!0 -
Just saw that Aless!
SS- are there any nursing vests you recommend? I have a couple of H & M ones, but was gonna get a couple more from somewhere.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Just got back from a morning of shopping. Beware anyone who is thinking of getting measured in M&S, you have to book a half hour appointment! Absolute madness, ended up having a set to with the changing room lady and in the end got measured without her recommending any bras - good thing as I came up a 38B and M&S didn't have any in that size.
Ended up going to Mothercare who measured me properly and told me I was a 36C and got me a couple of bras, which done up on the tightest hooks fitted very snuggly but as she explained had plenty of room when the milk comes in. Got 2 for £26 and used my work leaving collection of £25 so I only had a £1 to pay.
99p store had set of reins in so I bought a set for the high chair.
Poundland also have that magicool stuff but different brand, which I thought might be good for the hospital bag, plus wipeable floor coverings, think 1m2 for going under the high chair.
Regards the work bank hols, mine caluclated that for me when I handed in the MATB1. I found HR were really slow and I had to do all the running making appointments and making sure I was getting what I was entitled to. Not what you want to be doing on top of everything else pregnancy related!
