  • Feel like I've only just sat down today.

Spent the best part of 2 hours chasing someone to tell me if my washing machine would be delivered and when I finally get the right number to ring, as no one's called me, the woman at the other end almost sends me into premature labour by reading out the wrong address for delivery and wrong contact numbers. Best they can say is 10-2 tomorrow.

Had to call out the pest control guy again, as I can still see wasps outside swarming around the entrance to the loft, not coming till sat between 8-1.

I tried on all the button-down tops I'd got today from Primarni, bought them in size 14, when I was an 8 before and they all feel tight, so I've got to take them back tomorrow - grrrrr. Felt too tired in the shop to try them on. Where have other people bought their breast feeding tops from? Need some inspiration without spending a fortune.

I thought I was supposed to have more time on mat leave!

  • Hi everyone, hope you are having good days. Well I am noticeably getting heeartburn now after I eat, was never sure what it was before but I am pretty sure this is what it is now!! Do many of you get it? If so, is there anything I can do to prevent / ease it do you know?

We are still off work for the rest of this week and had a nice lazy day today, me and DH had a clean up round the house earlier, I cleared out our paperwork and we have just got back from visiting MIL. She said I looked very neat bump wise :) Had chip shop chips for tea, oops, they were nice though :)

    xx

bear- i was planning to use stretchy tops with cardigan if a little cold. very hard to find anything that will be suitable in 'normal shops'. if i need to go out it will have to be blouse or summat from asda.

    Evening ladies
hope everyone is ok, Well i ve had quite a day of it, I ve been ill all week & in the last 24 hours i had not felt bumper move espically seeing as i was awake most the night due to the rain, so this morning oh went off to work & i had a tight feeling quite bad. So i phoned the doctors & said to go right to the hosptial !!!!!!!!. So had to phone oh & try & sound calm to see if he could come. He got back to be in record time as did my mum, Now i must admit i am a born worrier, We got seen right away & the midwife rememered us so she was really sweet, she could not find the heartbeat right away which was the worse couple of mins in my life but when she did it was the sweetest sound ever, we also had a scan just to make sure & everything was fine & now he's done nothing but kick all afternoon. Hope everyone is ok on here and Glam you better come back and check on us also oh treated me to the new sophie kinsela book so i will sit down and rest.
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j

i got it real bad. there are certain foods as well that make it worse, like onion, garlic, spicy food etc also try to eat a little slower that usual. chew loads and swallow slowly. mw told me not to drink with my meals but have a glass of milk after.

you can take gaviscon as well. and GP can put this on a script so you dont have to pay! if it gets so bad you cant sleep or wakes you up, have a does of gaviscon before you go to bed and prop your pillows up so you are lying at a higher angle. this stops the acid coming up from your tummy

Lou - so glad everything is ok. Elasti posted this morning as she was worried about lack of movement, so hope she is ok too.

Jillie - I know what you mean about weaning yourself off. I don't imagine I will post this much on the parent thread - but then again, I would never have thought I would have so much to say on this thread! And I will probably be needing loads of advice!

Wasn't JHA due her scan today or am I getting mixed up? I don't think she has been on for a few days either and it's not like her. Still no Squishy. And no Glam today. Everyone has been really quiet!

    Hello ladies,

Lou it sounds like you've had the same sort of day as me. Belly monkeys been getting steadily quieter over the last 48 hours and last night none of the usual wriggle making tips were helping so rang this morning and the midwife asked me to pop straight in to the day assessment unit. They hooked me up to the machines and bumps heartbeat was loud and clear then promptly tried to kick the monitor pads off!
They scanned me too as part of a study there doing into women who come in with reduced fetal movement, it was lovely to see baby moving about so much but makes me wonder how on earth I couldnt feel her! Only worrying thing was the sonographer asked did I know what flavour we were having and did we have names picked, I said a girl and told her our favourite two then she said 'what if its a boy?!' If it is he'll be wearing lots of pink as we havent got anything left to buy! They did try to check but she (hopefully!) had her legs crossed tight and the cord between her legs so she couldnt say! OH now wants to put some money aside for blue outfits just incase

Hope everyone else has had a good day, hugs and vibes to all in need x

Really annoyed with a so called friend of mine who was meant to take me to the hospital to have my scan, she never turned up and ended up having to get a taxi up to the hospital (its really awkward to get to from here no direct buses or anything  )and back again and have both the girls in there with me  i come home and she then messages me on msn telling me what a great day she has had with some random bloke off the internet  will be the last time i look after her kids from now on, had them constantly dumped on me all over the summer holidays and her 2 aswell as my 2 and as soon as i need something she is nowhere to be seen  i want to say something to her but i dont know how to approach it but im really annoyed with her :(

My eldest is going to look at her new school tomorrow so hopefully she will be starting on monday :j and things can start getting back to normal again :rotfl:
