Hey Fitzio, no names yet but I'm no where near decided so I don't mind if she pinches one of mine. Apparently my sister has breast feed three times already so sounds good :) It's a bit scary now - me and my sisters were all pregnant at the same time - but there's only me left now

On the breastfeeding and lumps, my younger sister got those and was advised to massage them out but didn't manage and ended up with mastasis (don't know how to spell that) so it's important to check and deal with straight away.

Have been to consultants this morning due to "measuring small for dates". They did a growth scan, and all is fine. Baby is measuring slightly smaller than average - "But then so are you" - said the midwife. You don't say. And there was me thinking 5ft was average.

But hey, at least i got to see baby again. I told her straight off that i didn't know what the sex was, and didnt want to. So she took all the measurements, then let me see its heart beating and little head. Ahhh.

Only 13 days to go and no eviction plan necessary.

Oh yes congrats to Jennynoo on your new niece.

so i went to Bury, for nursing bras. expensive store didnt have any my size (i'm not that blinking awkward a size) and they were very expensive

went to mothercare and lady said best to measure after 38 weeks, so as long as my BP behaves i'll be back in Bury next week to hopefully buy again.

Jillie - I know where has the time gone
Well, we got some therapy in last night, but I think the plan will go all guns blazing from tomorrow ;)

Thanks for info on bras I was going to get fitted this week - not sure what to do as I'll have had him after 38 weeks. Maybe I'll go next week if I'm still around!

Moses basket is in our room and I'm about to wash the covers so will put them on tomorrow when they are dry. 2 bouncy chair covers have been washed and put back together so getting there slowly.

Where does the time go?
  • Hi everyone, Could I ask a really quick question?
Is it safe to have fillings or anaesthetic when you're pregnant?

My dentist is a bit of a numpty and x-rayed me when I was first pregnant (I didn't know you weren't supposed to have them), so I don't want him to tell me I can have fillings or anaesthetic if I'm not supposed to...
Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4
  • Hi, just wanted to ask a quick question if thats okay, Im jsut over 10 weeks pregnant and was thinking of getting a doppler, what ones do you suggest ? and when did you use them from ?

Littlebit - I think you are fine to have fillings (I had 1 when around 14 weeks pregnant). I got an injection to numb my mouth. You are not mean to have x-rays though. If it's not urgent, you can probably wait until after the birth, but I don't think there are any problems with it.

I think Lou on here works in a dental surgery so she could probably advise you better. Not sure when she will be on though.

lady in mothercare was very nice and she said wait till 38 weeks as baby will have (or should have) dropped by then so they are getting the right measurement round your ribs.
i wondered as well bout leaving it too late... thought i'll just get hubby to measure me and see how that goes.. lol!!! can just picture him now in mothercare asking..... i guess if need be we can go to the store and buy when we have had baby. not ideal as really need one bra to use straight away.

right i need to wash all our baby things, have you used your drier or washing line??
