oh i am completely whacked, i fell asleep at 2 and feel quite hot, tired and generally rough. Been in A&E twice over the weekend with hubby breaking his ankle, So i have be driving every where and running around looking after him. Drove 60 mile round trip to visit new niece this weekend as they were up from the south. Then went out last night with some old friends which had been booked for 3 months. So just think i have been over doing it.
New niece is cute but i was so annoyed that the min mil said dinner was ready they dumped her on me, the parents went off got tons of food and sat back down stuffing their faces in front of me and never once said are you ok to have her while we eat or put her down go and get yourself something. Everyone had nearly finished theirs before i got anything and there was bearly a crumb left for me, their kids even went for seconds before i got mine. If it had been my brother i would have said something but as it was hubby's i didn't as they don't like me as it is.
Hubby kept saying stuff but it fell on deaf ears and with him not being able to get up it was hard.

I picked up my pushchair at the weekend too! Not sure i have done the right thing really. It is just as big as my old one really but it does fit in my car boot without taking the parcel shelf off, and it has a carrycot to lie baby flat.
    This is my signature!

Helen - from what you have said I think your dad's main argument will be that it isn't a problem him staying with you! So you have to say that it might not be a problem for him but it is for you and just be firm that it can't continue.

    I'd second that.

Slightly :money: info (would be a lot more MSE if I mentioned ebay / 2nd hand but I know thats not for everyone!) if anyone is thinking of getting M&P pramette, they have this years colours discounted from £335 to £249 on their website - the new colours are £350:eek:!!!

Thanks Fitzio for the maclaren input - I also keep seeing the brown and pink ones cheaper! I have been looking out for the brown and green one as that's more unisex if we go onto number 2!

Helen, I really do hope you get something sorted with your dad. Families - what a nightmare. My mum is hopping mad at my dad at the mo (who I hasten to add she divorced nearly 30 years ago!) as he won't cancel the holiday he had booked for the same weekend as my brother has his wedding reception planned for (he and his gf married overseas) - pointed out that my bro wasn't even going to tell my dad until after the wedding anyway and he's not introduced his gf to either me or my dad despite being in the same town a couple of times and actually she should really only worry about it if my bro is upset by it, which I don't think he is, and it's not as if my dad has actually been particularly involved with his children for the last 3 decades anyway!

If it was me I would still tried to get food, holding neice with one hand and making it look really difficult so that in the end they would need to rescue her! They should at least have offered to get food for you - pregnant ladies need to eat.

nanc - I posted my plan a few pages back. If you search the thread for calcium you should find it.

Helen - huge hugs to you hun. Sorry to hear about your friend.
As for your Dad - does he really need to buy somewhere? Didn't you say he had family that are an hour or so away from you?
I would say it's not really your problem if he doesn't want to buy somewhere but that you and your family need their own space and the only way to do this is to buy the house from him.

Aquanatal was good - pushed myself a bit by doing some lengths afterwards. I am now sporting an alice band as I can't be bothered to do my hair for Parentcraft! Might as well get used to the look!

Already got bids and watchers on my ebay stuff so hope it goes for lots of moneys!!!! :j

    catch up again later xxx

Ladies do you all know that TT breastpads are 1/2 price in Tesco, it makes them cheaper than the own brand ones and TT are my preferred brand :D

Helen81 - So, so sorry to hear about your friend. Oh and your dad needs a good bang on the head to re scramble his wiring! Definatley something wrong with him imo.

Always29 - I'm getting the XLR too, going for the Champagne colourway with the carrycot that is available on 2009 models. Mothercare has a discount running for anyone who opens a Baby Plan before 31st Aug so made use of that :)

Evansangel - My OH does the tidying up and denying any knowledge thing, I know its him when the missing object turns up in a completely ilogical place!
