Glad you made your appointment Beenie. Treat yourself to a McDs or something afterwards (or go home and raid your cupboards for goodies if you are skint)!
Can't believe how well Tigs' baby seems to be doing - he is sooooo tiny. He must really be a wee fighter. They must be over the moon he is doing so well.
Happy anniversary Lou! I can't believe you have all had such nice weather. It's not awful here, but been torrential rain most of the week. A little bit brighter today I think (just need to open the curtains to check!).0 -

They say it takes about 25 minutes for water to go through your system into your bladder. Not sure how much i think it varies i read somewhere about a pint but i always drink as much of a litre bottle that is comfortable.
Well pool deffo has a puncture and not of the slow kind looks like it is on the seam as well so cant do a repair ive just ordered my new one and DD is going through the room with a brush and a vacume looks like the culprit is a staple that fell out of her bag when she was moving her stuff GRRRRRRRR. Oh well so much for trying to be MSE :-( x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Kindof - I am not sure that there are guidelines re water consumption. I hardly drank any (downed a small bottle on way to appointment so about 20 mins before) and my pictures were the clearest I have seen. Beenie had to go back for a second scan coz she hadn't drank enough water at one of her appointments. I think that was for a later scan, and you are supposed to need more for the earlier ones!
I would say drink 1 or 2 bottles (whatever you can manage) up to an hour before so that you aren't too bursting when you get there!0 -
kindof, i think they say 1.5 pints, and start drinking it about an hour before you set off? Maybe less but i'd want to be on the safe side. One of my scans was at about 9:30am and in my tired daze i woke up and went to the loo  I got told off and had to go back :rotfl:
Yep Fitz was my 20 week scan!0 -
Right, off to see midwife now. Be back soon. x0

Ok thanks
my appointment with consultant is 2.30pm and my scan is 15 mins before that, so 2.15pm (I dont know why they dont just say that lol)
I think OH is going to get me from work at 1.45pm so if I start drinking at 1.30pm
My only problem is I that I need to pee loads as it is lol, I don't have a problem drinking lol its just not peeing.
I think they should tell you on the letter how much to drink lol cos I would hate to not drink enough and have to go back (poor beenie lol)
Basically my bladder needs to be full doesn't it?Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

I was 36 weeks yesterday.
It's pain at both sides of my ribs - right across my bump. Higher up than I would imagine my abdomen. Not necessarily my ribs that are sore, but just the area at the top of my ribs (not sure I am describing it well!). It's continual agony though, not just a stabbing pain or anything like that. The pain makes it really difficult to breathe and I am doubled over trying to see if I can relieve it in different positions. I must look like a right numpty! I have no real concerns that anything is wrong with the baby though. It's just poor old me lol!
Someone actually suggested gallstones, but I don't have a clue!
hi fitzio....
have you being have heartburn?? it could be a build up of acid. it sounds a similar location and type of pain i was having. i too was doubled over in pain and no paracetamol or gaviscon would shift it. my mw said it could be gallstones as apparently lots of women get them whilst pregnant. higher abdomen pain is also (not to scare you at all) is also a sign of pre-eclampsia'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0
