Jillie - am glad you are home. Weren't they going to induce you at 38 weeks anyway because of the high BP?
I think it naturally increases towards the end of the pregnancy - mine has certainly gone up but is still below threshold.

inducing me is kinda the last thing they will do. have to see if the increase in dosage works and then will review me. they would prefer me to go naturally, but if my BP shoots up and baby gets in distress they would give me an emergency c/s
the main thing is my BP, as long as it stays controlled i should be fine...even if been controlled means staying in hospital. although if i do end up having to do that i will prob be induced. they wont give me a defiite answer as it can change in the matter of hours.

i see you have your date. is that for induction or c/s
has your OH had any luck with jobs yet??

maternity trousers- work ones were fab. hitched them up over bump, never fell down or anything. bliss!
on the other hand every pair of jeans i have got have been,'hover round the midde and fall down when i walk' type or 'fit under bump and when i least expect it start to fall down'....

thank god for leggings and cheap tracksuit bottoms (£3 a pair) from asda.

my date is for Induction - however like you I will be monitored throughout and if my sugars get too high or if baby becomes distressed at all then it will be c section straightaway.

No luck with jobs yet for OH - we are having fun  doing the house and trying not to get on each other nerves too much. We def need to make sure we have our own space and try to do things on our own otherwise I think we will drive each other up the wall.
I did 45 mins in our bedroom before he came up (was online faffing about) and then moaned that I had moved stuff and that he could only do an hour cos he wanted to watch the footy! Then at 3pm moaned that we'd not done much

He'll be at car boot tomorrow so out of my hair for a few hours while I sort all my clothes out!

I got the £3 joggers from ASDA too! Not tried any of the stuff on yet but should do later really - oh and I must finish my bag off as well.

Where did everyone get their Muslin Squares from?

Glam, that is a fab bargain. I paid £3.50 for 3 from Asda. I know the Mothercare ones are probably better value - for once - but I wanted pretty pink ones and the printed ones in mothercare were ridiculously expensive. The plain white were something like 12 for £15.

Am gradually packing my bag. Got some more maternity pads today and friend gave me some breast pads. Still washing the huge piles of clothes I've been given. When Health Visitor arrives on Monday I really hope the house doesn't still look like a chinese laundry. Trouble is there is so much of it it'll take most of the weekend just to wash and dry it. I'm dreading the ironing, lol.

    Hi Boo,

I have 2 pairs of Next jeans and a pair of black Next work trousers and I hate hate hate them!! They all have kind of side panels, so I think they are on the bump rather than under or over. They constantly fall down and I spend all day hitching them up. I kept thinking I would grow into them, but it didn't work like that. My work trousers started to roll down under my bump, flashing my tummy! I am so glad I don't have to wear them again. I am considering buying some braces to hold my jeans up. I would definitely buy over bump trousers next time round - I thought I would be too hot with them!

Good luck with your injection tomorrow. I would definitely mention your bleeding nipple to your doctor/midwife tomorrow. It definitely doesn't sound normal, but hopefully it's just because you have squeezed too hard or something. Let us know how you get on.

    Hi all!!

Fitzio & GISI - Well I had my anti-D injection this morning. V nice lady did it, she took bloods first from inside of my elbow then did the anti-D in the top outer part of my arm. Wasnt particularly pleasant, bit stingy, similar to bloods in a way though. Asked about the lil bit of blood from my bbs and she said if I see it again to check with a doctor as its not normal to have blood coming from there. She rang a few hours after appt to advise my iron is just OK but wouldnt want it to get any lower, so I am going to get some tablets to be on safe side. So all in all a successful day!! We had a mooch round Dorchester while we were there and went in that Wellworths shop which we watched a programme on backalong (the one they started when Woolworths shut). Only bought a newspaper though

My Next uncomfy jeans are the ones with the narrow band of elastic all the way round, they dig into my bump and leave a line showing under tighter tops, nice!! They were gr8 in the early days though when normal jeans became too tight. I havent tried any with the side panels.

Nikkit - sorry I have no advice, but also hope they sort out what to do about your cyst. Glad you decided to go on hols and had a nice time :)

Glam - we got our muslin squares from Tesco, 2 packs, not sure what they are like yet though as not opened them yet, lol!!

    xx

I went for the cream muslin squares in the end says they are cotton so should be OK.

Just been going thru my hospital bag - just need to wash all my new clothes including the nighties for hospital but I now have everything except slippers and a dressing gown (I want a cheap lightweight one)

xmas - OH asked me earlier when we can start getting jiggy every day :rotfl:
Told him he's got to wait until I'm bang on 37 weeks and then we can get down with it :rotfl:He's already devised a plan of action to fit in lots of jiggy, orgasms, swiss ball bouncing, long walks and curry!!

My HV not been in touch yet - I;ve got BF MW comin on Tuesday though - need to make sure downstairs is nice and tidy (wonder if she'll want me to get my boobs out)

Ive got the tesco muslim squares they seem ok for the money but ive only bought 2 packs of 3 instead i bought some of the white face cloths from ikea cost a cople of £ for a pack of 10 i think it was and they were a godsend with my DS also a small pack of terry toweling nappies also a godsend as i always found the muslin squares to small and not absorbent enough for vomit (always soaked through to clothes no matter how quick you were) when your burping baby.
