    hi sugar
    how ru enjoying Motherhood?

have been reading the parent thread - sounds like you've got a bit of a child genius there!!!!!

Mostly I am loving it. The monster has been appallingly cranky for hours tonight though and I am seriously considering locking myself in the walk-in cupboard and weeping. She's dozing but grumbling in her sleep and keeps half-waking to yell about something and then quietens down again. The flipping herself over is a bit of a worry though - she's not able to do it on purpose, it's only that she gets so angry when anyone tries to change her that she arches her back far enough that her flailing tips her over. She can pull her arms out from under her but mostly I'm concerned that she'll throw herself over the edge.

Oh, and she has taken to clamping down hard on the breast. I think she likes the noise I make when she does it.

What is awesome is that she makes these little movements, and I can remember how it felt when she was making them inside me. I do want to keep her, but lending her out for a night is tempting right about now.

you could ship her over to me for the night if you like.
Caz almost did that after she had Erin - we figured as long as we put Fragile on the box and put some air holes in she'd be OK when she got here :rotfl:

Is she really a monster though? :p

Bearing in mind that OH would only sleep for 2hours at a time and no more

Tempting. She's an occasional monster, although funny with it. This afternoon we were surrounded in the supermarket by a horde of elderly ladies hellbent on touching her little face while telling me she was underdressed. She let out the longest, wettest, smelliest fart/poop that any small child ever produced, then looked up and said, Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

    They scattered. I was impressed.

  • Thanks for that BooBoo- I'm not too worried about it to be honest, doesn't sound too bad.

On the muslin debate- I've got two packs from when they were BOGOF in Tesco, one Mothercare pack that I bought when I was doing a big 25% off order and a pack of the Ikea wash cloths that were dead cheap. Should do me I think. I also probably have enough wipes to last until bubs is toilet trained as I keep getting vouchers / offers for them and can't resist!

Not yet, but I hope to soon. Krystal is a font of knowledge!

"The body is remarkably resilient; almost all women who have breast reduction surgery will be able to lactate to some degree. But if a significant portion of the lactation system was impaired by the surgery, then the milk supply will not be enough to meet a baby’s entire nutritional requirement."
