hi all ,
haven't been on in over a week , well i have some news:.......................
Last Monday 11th august and EDD scan as previous one the baby ws to small, while lying on the bed the ultrasound lady said ' Have you been for a scan before ?' 'yes 'i replied she looked at the notes and said 'oh' , feeling something was wrong i asked why ,?, she the replied , 'you have a cyst on your right ovary', oh feeling a bit scared at this moment , she then explained , the cyst was quite large at 7cm x 8cm x 4cm, and was pushing baby to the top of my tummy, she then explained i should go and see my GP for further advise and information , 'OK ' i replied, feeling scared and worried about things off i go to my GP surgery , where i get to see my GP within 4 hours,
forgot to say i am due to fly out to Spain that evening ,
off to my appointment my GP was shocked at the size of the cyst an was not sure i should be going on hold that evening, he called the gyny guys at A & E , fr advise , they tell him , i need to go and see them , so off i trot to my hospital , to sit and wait another couple of hours to see them, after having my belly prodded, bloods taken , advise from them , they tell me ' you can go home , BUT i am not telling you to go on your holiday' ,
So i am in a catch 22 situation, if i had not had the scan that morning i would not of know about this cyst, but now had it and seen it i know its there, what do i do???, i asked the consultant what are the risks of me going on holiday , she told me of rupturing, birsting, stretching , but said' spanish hospitals are up to date with everything , and any discharge , pain i can not control, bleeding then i was to rush staraight to the A & E department without any hesitation.
So leaving hospital returning home telling my OH everything what was said , i decided that i was going to go on my holiday and OH would do everything and i would have complete rest.
Well we had a great time, no problems , so i was glad i decided to go.:j
On returning home i have my appointment for the consultant to discuss everything on 14th Sept, i went to see my GP and explain that i merchandis for coca cola as my job , and lift cases of 24 500ml bottles and fill chillers in supermarkets every day , is this ok with the cyst i have ,, my GP said no and has signed me off for 4 weeks until i have seen my consultant.
So as you can see i have had a busy 2 weeks , also a new EDD of 21st feb, so i will update EDD list after this.
my bump is also looking like 6 months pregnant and not only 14 weeks 'sarah joanne' i cant believ you can still get into size 8 jeans , i have gone from a size 8 to a size 12 in 14 weeks god knows what size i am going to be when i am 30 weeks
So i now just have to wait and take things easy , the things i am worried about is that the baby is lying really high above my belly button , pains coming and going in my sides, i only have my right ovary and egg as it is , and may lose due to the cyst
Any one else had any of these happen and can offer advise,Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -

Jillie - glad you are ok and home again.
Nikkit - what a shock for you. I have no advice, but hope they manage to sort out what to do about the cyst and that it doesn't interfere with your baby. Glad you had a nice holiday though. x0 -
Afternoon all, hope every one is doing well
Nikki hope things get sorted for you, hope you had a great holiday.
I have a bad headache today and i don't take pain killers not that i could at the moment with my sensitive tum.
Trying to stay off of ebay before i buy things without thinking. that site can be dangerous i keep falling for baby clothes, seen loads and when i do start buying i think i will be at the door for the postman everyday for a month.
Need to figure out something for lunch, had 2 breakfast but they went to the toilet:rolleyes: i now feel really hungry but don't know what to eat. May play it safe and have some bulgar wheat with sliced ham? Off to raid the cupboards for inspiration.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

I was too curious (and have nothing better to do!) so I had checked the previous EDD to find the difference. Didn't want to say in case it was a secret!! Welcome to Glitterycloud. :hello:0 -
feeling so tired, but i think thats because although i was in hospital you dont get as much sleep as you want.
there was a lady brought in overnight who has SPD, she was on crutches and could hardly move at all.
today there were 3 ladies to have inductions. - i thought it was quick way to have baby, but at this hospital seems to be in for 2 days and then baby... very slow start although they did say to one lady htey have to wait for the delivery rooms to be available.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

dont think its a secret. just came back to a PM from her. so have added her. meant to say at the bottom of post thats who so i'll go back and edit my OP'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Maternity Trousers - I had a M&P pair of work trousers and they lasted until 24 weeks. They were neither over or under the bump, just kind of around the bump
I have 2 pairs of under the bump jeans which are comfy but I do find they tend to sag around the bump and crotch so I'm always hitching them up.
Jillie - am glad you are home. Weren't they going to induce you at 38 weeks anyway because of the high BP?
I think it naturally increases towards the end of the pregnancy - mine has certainly gone up but is still below threshold.
harley - don't you hate it when people do that?!!! Give you something for the baby for your birthday! My mum bought me some lovely flowers and took us both out for lunch but bought nothing for bubs which was good as we already have almost everything we need.
Well, OH and I have been to ASDA, PO and IKEA this morning - got some cleaning stuff so my bedroom smells all clean and fresh again now. Been cleaning all the skirting boards, pulled everything away from the walls, hoovered and then moved all the furniture so we now have loads of room for moses basket.
The wardrobe we went to look at is discontinued - bit of a pain as we have the matching bed side tables. Found another wardrobe which matches the tables in spare room so might do a swap. Problem is getting it all home - I refuse to pay extravagent delivery charges when I live 2 mins away! OH said he'd wheel it home in the trolley :rotfl:
really quiet on here today - must be making the most of the sunshine :cool:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Hi guys, home from work so I now have this evening and tomorrow off :T.
Jillie- good to see you back. Hope you manage to stay home a bit longer this time. Glad that the meds seem to be controlling your BP.
Off for a picnic with some girly friends tomorrow which will be lovely. Just need to make my contribution later as I really can't be arsed to stand in the kitchen at the moment. Will prob make a cake although I might go for cookies.
Also does anyone know if there is an Asda Baby Event coming up? I hope so as I want to stock up on some bits before I start Mat Leave.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
