Xmas, can you take them somewhere closer? Even out for a picnic lunch or something? Or a long walk ... that might speed things up, too :)

    Morning everyone,

Harley - glad your head isn't bleeding this morning. Thanks for the tip about ELC. It does say it on the giftcard, but I haven't really had time to think about it. I will probably use it in MC to buy a cot mobile and cot bedding as I don't have these yet and I can get stuff to match the range that we have bought (Sleepy Farm). Other than that, I need a baby bath and a few wee bits and pieces. Not sure if it's £100 worth though so can keep the rest for after the birth.

It is a bit strange your friend giving you a MC gift card - maybe she had already bought it in advance before you had your problems? Would have been nice to get yourself something mind you. What about some nursing vests or something like that? I know it's not that exciting, but at least they would be for you.

Kindof - meant to say, your babygro looks great! Not sure what my plans are for today (possibly visiting MIL) but will watch X Factor tonight. Either at home or at MILs.

Xmas - no idea about shows as only a first timer, but your description of the magazine glue made me laugh! Good luck. Let us know how you get on today.

SJ - about beds, I know a couple of people recommended Ikea beds, but just as a consideration, I know others who bought Ikea beds, and because they are not a standard size, they found it difficult to get replacement mattresses unless they bought again from Ikea. The same for fitted sheets etc. Dont' think the sizes were miles out so you could get by, but just a consideration. I have a King Size bed with a sprung memory foam mattress and it’s great. We previously bought a normal sprung Silent Night mattress with “no roll together” and after about a year, DH and I were falling out opposite sides of the bed as it made us roll apart!!! Lol. It’s in the spare room now as it’s for our old double bed, but that’s why DH doesn’t like sleeping in there.

GISI – hope work goes ok for you and you can last one more day and hopefully get signed off on Monday. You have definitely tried your hardest to tough it out for as long as you can, so don’t feel guilty about it.

    Morning all!

I had the worst luck last night! Not to sure if i said, but my dishwasher flooded the kitchen.

So after i cleared it all up i went to bed to fill in my pregnancy journal thing. OH come in and i felt something wet up on bum :rotfl:

So i got up and see a wet patch on the bed, OH asked if i wet myself (!)

But it was our water bed! It has sprung another leak!!
So we had to make a bed on the floor with loads of duvets, and my back hurts so much now :(

My uncle is coming round to fix the bed later :D

Also about the show, i read in a pregnancy book that most of the time it comes away when your on the toilet, but it can come away when your in the bath and you wont notice.

In the bath?!?! Imagine laying down and seeing it float past your face! :rotfl:
  • Morning all

Thanks for putting me on the list BeanieCat :T

Glamazon - My OH keeps pointing out we'd better enjoy this time because it's going to go fast - and we will NEVER BE ALONE AGAIN! He puts it so nicely

GISI - have you been reffered to a phisio, my friend got dx with SPD 6 weeks before she was due - and the waiting list here is 8 weeks . The best we could do for her was give her my ante-natal support girdal - but it was only for the 1st trimester ( had one becasue that area act like it has SPD when i'm not pregnant). Before I had that I used to tie a dressing gown cord really tightly arond my hips to 'keep them in'. I don't know if that's the kind of problem you have - but phisio is usually the answer to everything anyway

I'm afraid I have a question - I never know wether my body is doing normal things or HMS things. Anybody feel like they've permanently pulled thier lower stomach muscles at around 16 weeks. I keep doing things and it's doubling me up sometimes. It doesn't half make things awkward as they are part of the muscle group that 'stands' between crutches and a wheelchair _pale_

Morning all fingers crossed i'm having a no sickness day again. Its been lovely the last 2 days being able to eat properly for a change.
Re having your show - with my first i was certain i had mine while i was on the loo, stringy and sreaked with blood, i rang my friend who was a midwife and confimed it. But i never actually had my show till i was in labour at the hospital, the midwife there said i would of s**t myself if i'd had it at home, loads of blood gunk etc. Mine litterally popped all over then i passed out. Coz of this i'm more scared 2nd time round even tho i was told that was very extreme.
I'll have to get myself to lidl for a body pillow, i never bought one before and really wished i had, mainly coz of the price.
Woo hoo only 10 more days till my booking in apt. How sad am i:o
