Thanks for the Tigs update, I cannot believe how small he is either!! Its hard to imagine that must be similar to what our baby is now inside of me as Im 28+2, I just cant imagine it!!

Hey everyone.

Been catching up this evening, but hopefully can spend more time keeping up now that I have finished work!!! :j

Worked until 7pm last night and until 6.20pm tonight. Everyone else had left at 4pm! They will think I am mental, but I got most stuff done so can relax a bit now. Had a lovely lunch out and got lovely pressies - got Fisher Price Rainforest activity gym, £100 Mothercare gift card (don't tell Harley!) and bouquet of flowers. Yesterday one of the girls gave me some bath/body stuff and £15 Next gift card, so I have done pretty well! And my boss gave me flowers and chocolates on Tue as she was off the rest of the week.
OH also bought me a bouquet of flowers which is quite unusual. Now I have lots of flowers, no vases, and OH is sneezing like mad!!

Three - really glad you had some success at the other doctors. Hopefully if you get an appointment on Monday they can set your mind at rest.

I have CTS but doesn't sound as bad as yours as it's mainly during the night or if I haven't used my hands for too long. However, I have really bad swelling in ankles/legs/feet. They are massive! Midwife is only concerned about Pre-eclampsia if there is protein in the urine which I haven't had.

I find that if I keep my fingers active (even just by typing quickly), they are fine. Physiotherapist recommends putting your hands in cool water then warm water, then cool water, then warm water repeatedly (have 2 bowls and just steep them for a minute then switch to the other). Also, hold your arms above your head and shake your fingers/hands to disperse the fluid build up.

For swollen ankles etc, I just lie on the sofa with my legs straight out for hours on end until the swelling goes down. You probably can't do that with other kids to look after though! Physiotherapist recommends getting your legs higher than your heart if possible, and also getting OH to massage your legs up the way (push the fluid back up your legs from your ankles, starting with calves then onto shins).

The nurse really did set my mind at ease, i think she came to me because i was visibly shaking when i asked how long it would take to see someone(their was a pregnancy meeting so all i seen was bumps and upset myself again). bad hearts run in my family and i have had problems with it before, unlike some of you's laddies where your bp goes up mine slows to tick over then over i go because my body forgets to work my lungs trying to keep the heart going(another problem GP done nothing about). I've only had one episode in pregnancy but one could be enough so her checking it made me very happy.

Started drinking berry fruit tea that seems to be helping the cramps still getting some but the worst has subsided so fingers crossed it stays that way.

Just had a look at tigs baby what a cutie he is, can't wait for the news he is at home where he should be.

That reminds me I need to return the towels so I can use the Mothercare voucher to get a new bra or two.

I too never get flowers but got some from work and mum bought me a lovely bunch as well so my 2 vases are in use for the 1st time in months!

Do you find your hands are quite red but the knuckles and finger joints are all white?!

Just managed to devour half a big bag of Doritos - yum!!!
