sunbathing? in this county?
how???0 -
:rotfl:this thread has made me chuckle! Love the suggestions to put her off!
Feel sorry for your dad though OP, bless him.
He will maybe have to avoid her this summer as best he can, and plan trellis and climbers fornext sunbathing season. If she is gobby and enjoys confrontation then talking about it to her probably won't help. Some people don't bat an eyelid at nudity (your dad's neighbour being one of them) and others are very uptight about it. It's a shame she isn't a little more considerate! It is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
Is it possible she genuinely didn't think she would be spotted so easily? Has she done it since she eyeballed your dad? Perhaps she is embarassed now after that?A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I like the small nosey child and asking questions.
I like the 13/14 year old lads as well.
I sunbath topless as well, and lay flat onthe patio and stay there, twice so far this year! however my neighbours have put the kids trampoline next to the ajoining fence! now the kids bounce up and down so I have to lie on my front when they are out, I certainly wouldn't be wandering around my garden.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I like the thing about having mates round. He could have a BBQ or something and when she comes outside into her garden, they could all chant "show us your t**ts for the lads".
Make sure your Dad waters his garden with a hosepipe and accidentally point it over her way.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
I'd just put up a fence, easier in the long run.
Do love some suggestions though.0 -
If she is a decent neighbour in other respects, why antagonise her?
She has every right to dress as she wants in her garden, and it really is your father that has the problem. The simplest thing for everyone is for him to put up a fence. Problem solved without hurting anybody's feelings or causing embarrassment. If the neighbour does ask why he's put up a fence, he can simply say that he was so taken with the fencing already put up that he thought it a good idea to continue it, making everything nice and consistent.0 -
The green beans is the best idea, noone is ofended, dad gets to have an extra veg and its not permanant, in this day and age its so not worth falling out with your neigbours, dads from a different genaration that had different standards, and Bless him hes just embarrased for her.
Yep Green beans sounds a good idea.:A :j0 -
I really can't see why he can't just ask her to put a top on if she is walking around.....as it puts him off his tea.0

Ask her if a loan of his wheel barrow would help on the days she is topless!!!0
