make up, the best think to do is to get a board and put your favourite things on there and hang it up in your room so you see it every day, I have a board with the type of furniture I want, the type of house I want to live in, hairstyles I want, places I want to visit, etc. It's an idea I copied from the dvd of the secret and it is nice to see every day, it makes me think, "One day that will be mine.":D
Is that a vision board? I had that on my Top 100 list for this year but haven't made it so far!!!
It's a great idea though! I've got the pics so should get my behind into gear!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Hello
I'm backGot back last night, but could barely keep my eyes open. Feel a bit better today, but still very tired. I'm glad I have a quiet weekend planned. A night in with SCD is just what I need
Hope everybody's doing well! Your recipe book sounds good, makeup! I'm thinking of putting one on my Christmas list. There's a really nice one in M&S and my recipes would look much better in there than shoved in the kitchen drawerI like to be organised, but somehow never manage it
I've got a folder with lots of things cut out of magazines, ideas for how I want my house etc, etc, but they're just shoved in a folder so I never look at them, but I think a vision board would get on my nerves actually. Lots of things I want, but can't have at the moment  My house is 'vision board' enough for me, just seeing it is motivation to make me want to get out of here usually. I mainly just want to get my boring bank/money/house paperwork sorted.
I like the sound of the 100 things list. I think I wrote a list of things for this year that I wanted to achieve...there were nowhere near 100 though. I think the moneysaving has overtaken everything else and other targets have been fallen by the wayside, mainly because they cost money  I think I'll write another one for 2010. 2010 WILL be my year
Other news, the week wasn't as bad as I feared at all. My trip away with work was much better than I thought it would be, I actually enjoyed it, although I'm shattered now.
My spending diary appears to have fallen by the waysideI need to get back on track with that.
I ordered some jeans from Oasis for £30 each (all denim is £30 this week, go, go, go!!!) plus 20% off with a code. That works out £24/pair
Whether they will look ok on me is another matter though
Scottish Power helped themselves to £44 on Thursday. They are being a pain in the @rse with taking money/not taking money from my bank account...grrr. Anyway, that means they now owe me £7.12 on my gas account....why didn't they just take £36.88 then???So now annoyingly, they are going to send me a cheque for £7.12, which is a complete pain. I hate cheques
Checked my A&L account and it looks like my DD's etc are still going out of that account. Going to check Nationwide in a minute. I'll be relieved when these moves are over
I've got a lot to do today, but struggling to find any motivation. I might post a list in a minute to shame me into doing something...
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
This weekend's 'to do' list:
- Call Scottish Power - Done
- Put bins out
- Check Nationwide account - Done, no payments taken out of there, phew!
- Sort post
- Check A&L account again - Done, all DD's seem to be going out of there
- Check quidco - Done, nothing's moved  Still hoping something might pay out this month.
- Order shopping online from Tesco (hope they don't charge me twice again ) - Done
- Catch up with spending diary
- Write Christmas cards
This all might change as the weekend progresses, but it is a start and I don't want to make it too daunting initially.

Hi Gwen
How are you dong with the list? :rolleyes:Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Hi Gwen, I'm glad your week ended up enjoyable :j Always a bonus after you've been dreading it.
Grrr to scottish power, cheeky gits  I hate cheques too, such an inconvenience aren't they. Scottish power should have put it back the same way they took it!
£24 for a pair of jeans is good...but how many pairs did you order? lol I ordered 2 pairs from the Evans site using voucher codes I saved over £20 and went through TCB and should get £4 cashback :T Now all I need to do is hope my Dad agrees to paying for them for my xmas present :rolleyes:Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80
Debt now Jan 2021 - £6,208.21

Yeah, it was good Bowski
Scottish Power are cheeky gits! I was only thinking this morning that it's pretty carp that they help themselves to however much of my money they want by DD, but I had to call up to arrange to get my money back from them by cheque! From what the woman said I get the distinct impression that if I hadn't called up I wouldn't have gotten my money back. At the bottom of the electricity letter when I owed them money, it said '£139.02 will be taken by DD on or around 30th November'. On the gas letter when they owed me money, it said 'No further action is required'
What if somebody was busy or didn't notice and call up....they wouldn't get their money back??
These companies are unbelievable!!! Grrr
The jeans are a good price I thinkI, err, ordered, err, a few pairs
I'm not expecting many of them to look that good on me to be honest though. Lots of them are skinny jeans which are a bit dodgy on me, but I do want a pair. Doesn't help that I am feeling very fat at the moment. I'm going to buy lots of satsuma's tomorrow and try and snack on those all week
Sounds like you got a bargain with yours aswell! I :heart2: voucher codes and cashback! Has anybody noticed that quidco now do cashback with your credit and debit cards now? Not many companies registered yet, but hopefully it will grow!
Been quite lazy this weekendTrying not to feel too bad about it though, because I've been shattered...haven't been sleeping too well for the last week and a half and then the course just wiped me out
My little brain wasn't used to that much thinking
This is just a 'lazy phase'. They happen, but then I have times where I run around like a blue-@rsed fly, so I figure it all balances out
