I'll still argue my case. The TV is new as is a virgin phoneline.

Worth a try as a diehard Moneysaver.

Anyone else in this situation? Would love to know how you get on as well?

Clearly says Cashback is payable for new customers only but no harm in trying.:D

i recently renogatiated my contract with them after already being with them for 12 months and managed to get them down to £27/month for XL boradband M, M . Is this a binding contract? can i still cancel and get quidco on a another name for example, this would work out much cheaper,
Any advice? They're coming to install in my new property in september, so want to get this offer a.s.a.p TIA

also would signing up as the same name but different bank a/c and quidco account count?

I've been a Virgin customer for years, I'm in the process of moving away as broadband is so poor - after 6pm it is unuseable. Have reported this several times, customer service sucks.... they take around 48 hours to respond, generally quoting the wrong problem and have never resolved the problem despite me keeping on reminding them, they just really just couldn't be a*d.

Another thing to watch out for is that they will put up their prices then offer new customers special deals so you could end up paying way over the top. They will haggle though if you give them a call.

Shame the broadband is so bad... maybe it's just a local thing

What speed? Have you got Fibre Optic broadband?

I signed up at 5pm today, already tracked by quidco. just hope it pays out.

Don't forget the "refer a friend" too - £30 for the referer & £30 for the new customer.

I rang Virgin Media to check I could get all the services and they said YES. However, when I go onto the website it appears I can only get (after putting in my postcode) phone and broadband, so I wouldn't be able to use the cashback offer as it's not the total package, but I want the total package. What to do?
  • hiya.. i hav recently moved address, but still pay for virgin at my old address [long story].. would i qualify for being a "new" customer, as its a different address?.. what do you guys [an gals] reckon?

    thanks..
  • Does anyone know if you can get cashback if you order just broadband or do you need to get a bundle i.e. tv,phone and bb? Im also new to cashback websites - what are the chances of actually getting the money?

    cheers
  • Can you still get the cashback if you can't complete the transaction online?

i.e. when put postcode in get directed to phone number as am in analogue rather than digital cable area. It's still cable (as per Quidco site) but how will Quidco know you've completed to pay you?
  • I posted this on a another thread but it would apply here too .....

Just a warning with getting this through Quidco - if you order the V+ box, be prepared to have your cashback declined - this is because Virgin won't compelte the transcation until you phone them and pay the installation fee upfront via debit/credit card, thus breaking the chain. This happened to me in March - they actually declined it the day before it was installed - I queried it with Quidco and it eventually validated in June but still waiting for it to switch to "received". I don't understand why Quidco don't put this up as a "warning" as I have advised them of this happening.
  • I have tried using Quidco and did everything to ensure there were not cookies that could interfere with the transaction. The transaction did not track and I lost the cashback. The problem is they take so long to investigate that you are outside the 15 days in which to cancel and retry. I have complained to them but no redress. I prefer to use GreasyPalm which always tracks without having to mess about with clearing cookies.
