I wouldn't worry too much if some of them are taking a while to get back to you. Banks (and particularly collections departments etc.) operate on somewhat monolithic timescales. As an example, it took Blair, Oliver and Scott 3 weeks to get back to me to let me know that I still owed them £20 after I thought I'd already closed an account.
Just because we can knock up a decent letter in half an hour and post it the same day doesn't mean that they will follow suit
I know what you mean, utterley useless those banks:p. Think they need to employee me to sort them out:rotfl:.
Feeling more postive today anyhow. Rog has been a great help to me re our CCA and I think most of our creditors won't have the relevant docs so we could be in a position to make a reduced F&F fairly quickly:j.
Gargraves are we still having a race? I feel like a champion athlete today:rotfl::rotfl:.0 -
Hi BJ:hello:,
Glad to see you are making headway with the CCA's. Its a bit "learn on the job" with this one for me, and I too have received loads of helpful advice from Rog. To be fair, I've written the letters - he has deciphered the replies.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Do you have some money put by for F&F? I've not but better start saving.
What do you mean is the race still on? Don't you know I'm going to win?!
Just remember looks like my 2 biggest creditors don't have nowt on me - I'll be making F&F's once I've saved some dosh and hope to get rid of £8K+:j
Of course, if they start producing the goods, I'll be up the creek:eek:

I am going to start saving the secured loan payment each month to offer F&F. I think I could also ask my mum for a bit to cover the smaller ones.
Isn't normally about 20%/30% you offer?
Fingers crossed we can get the smallers done and dusted within 6 months:j.0 -
Well done. Things certainly seem to be picking up pace. Nothing like a bit of friendly rivalry to spice things up.Ebay challenge 2010 - £525

It depends on a lot of factors from what I've seen.- You need to have been struggling to make payments for some time/basically defaulted on them
- You probably need to have been making reduced payments for at least a few months
- The size of the debts
I'm planning on F&F for my credit card early 2010. I've been offered 70% already, will be offering 40% of the total in hopes of settling at no higher than 55%.

I will save like mad (yeah right:rolleyes:!) to get F&F and hopefully can offer the smaller ones as soon as possible.0 -
I made a boo boo about my CCA:o. I thought the 12+2 was tomorrow but it has suddenly dawned on me it's next Friday
.
That's me wishing the weeks again to get the boys back to school:p.
Is it too early for a glass of vino?
