  • Not too bad today, infact quite good.

Halifax have accepted payment for OH overdraft to be reviewed in 3 months:j.

Citi have requested contact via phone but I have sent the letter requesting to use me as contact rather than OH so I will see if they contact me as OH has no idea whats going on.

Shame I didn't do this the other way round and just steal his money and run off into the sunset:rotfl:.

Got two CCA responses from MBNA & Sky (my name) but I applied for them online and not sure what's next so need to go off and research again - typically me jump in with both feet then figure it out later. Wasn't sure if I should have requested CCA for these two accounts but hey ho no harm done:p

    Congrats BJ,:j

Who would have thought just a few weeks ago that you would have done so well with some letter writing and standing your ground?!:D

With the Citi letter I would say you only have a chance of them agreeing this if the letter specifically gives HIS signed consent to this. Don't know if you have included this in your letter?

No harm done, check out the CCA update thread for lots of expert help

With regards to Citi no it was printed name - I never thought about that:o. Well I would rather they didn't have the signature anyhow until we get the CCA so I can always send another request.

I received only two copies which I think are still enforceable anyhow but they are for two of my small debts so not a major let down.

The other 6 should have responded by now (well tomorrow) so if not more letters will be coming their way:p.

The other 6 are the main ones that we hope don't have the correct info as this would really help us out.

I'm just sorry we didn't do this sooner as we wouldn't have taken out new credit cards or loans to consolidate:mad: and we would probably be sitting debt free happy as larry:rolleyes:.

My day has been pretty uneventful. Spends not too much just £4 at the butchers. My spending dairy is feeling very left out at the min as I don't seem to be updating as well as I should but I gonna get strict.

Got to take eldest for a friendly footie match tonight so that will be another £3 for my spends today:rolleyes:. Just hoping it might start peeing with rain and it will be cancelled as I really can't be !!!!!d and I'm trying to get the boys back into a rountine for school again.
  • Sitting patiently waiting for postie to arrive:p.

Football went ahead last night - soddin typical pees all day and then nice and bright when I want it to pee:mad:.

On the plus side the footie coach didn't charge us last night as it was a friendly:j.

Think I will make a chicken pie tonight for dinner so will need to spend a little to get some bits and bobs for than.

Rog is checking out my CCA queries (such a gem and a BIG thanks from me to you:o).

Nothing else to report at the mo but I need to get letter writing to chase the other CCA's.

Might want to start the spending diary again? Maybe from tomorrow so you have a full weekend and then a full week?

Chin up BJ - getting replies from 6/12 creditors is a great start. You're clearly handling the letters side of things very well, which should be cause for celebration

I wouldn't worry too much if some of them are taking a while to get back to you. Banks (and particularly collections departments etc.) operate on somewhat monolithic timescales. As an example, it took Blair, Oliver and Scott 3 weeks to get back to me to let me know that I still owed them £20 after I thought I'd already closed an account.

Just because we can knock up a decent letter in half an hour and post it the same day doesn't mean that they will follow suit ;)

Nothing in post today re DMP just 2 CCA request letters which I have posted on the other thread for advice.

All DD's are in place now with our new account and just need to post a few DD mandates back today.

Re the spending dairy I will start again. I think I have been a bit lazy about it as we are skint this month and I feel waiting until start of Sept when everything has been put in place and I only have the money that is on my SOA after putting all the bills money to oneside will make me more focused:o.

Right I'm off to become Billy Baker for a few hours:p
