Hi
Just thought id update since the weekend. Overtime at my work went ahead on Saturday so i managed to get 4 hours at time and a half to go towards Octobers wage.
Alot of things finished on Ebay making me around £ 80 (after fees and postage costs)
Went to the car boot sale on Sunday and made £ 110 (after fee and petrol) so it wasn't too bad apart from the rain which soaked everything including me for two hours before the sun came out
So at the moment this is how the debt stands today
DEBTS OUTSTANDING:
BARCLAYCARD £5270.00 no change
MBNA £4042.64 no change
MORGAN STANLEY £2180.00 no change
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND MASTERCARD £9728.00 no change
SKYCARD £922.88 now £1064.48 increase of £142.20 (spent this on an online casino  - i know it was stupid but its done now and theres nothing i can do about it - only signed up to get cash back but ended up playing more money - used to have a big problem with this but learned the hard way - account closed and un-installed from the computer)
TESCO £2340.00 now £2345.99 (cancelled credit expert free trial but they charged me £5.99 anyway - this is due to be refunded)
OVERDRAFT £1499.80 O/D now £1220.00 O/D
TOTAL DEBT @ 14.08.06 £25983.32 now 22.08.06 £25851.11
TOTAL PAID OFF TO DATE £132.21:j
I know its not a great start but at least its going down a bit. I just feel so stupid for spending that money at that online casino. Just came to my senses in time before spending alot more as i was spending it i was thinking maybe this time i'll win but then i started thinking well what else could i be spending this money on??? So i know that i was lucky to realise what i was doing it would have been so easy to keep playing but i started to feel physically sick when i realised what i had done. So will definately not be going back down that road again.
Im working at my 2nd job 4 nights this week and am off to the football tomorrow night. The ticket was a present from a friend so its not costing me anything apart from a programme which i will take out of my £10 spend for the week as i've not spent anything so far. I worked 2 nights last week supervising in my job (which didn't go down to well with some of the other staff) they kept making comments like why do we need another supervisor. Anyway it was only supposed to be in emergencies but i've been rota'd in to work Friday night supervising so that will be an extra £3 on my wages for next week.
Its the last weekend of overtime at my work this weekend so im going to try to work 8 - 3 although don't know if i'll manage it. I've been loaded with the cold for the last week and could really do with some time in bed but its only one day so i could always come home after work and go to bed.
I car share to get to work but the person i car share with hasn't had a car for 2 of the weeks she was supposed to drive so im finding myself having to fill the car up every week £40 for a full tank of petrol incase i have to drive. It was supposed to be their turn to drive again this week but still no car. I have enough petrol to get me to work until Thursday but don't get paid until Friday so I might have to use my credit card to cover that.
I've also not got much left in the house for eating so am going to need to get some shopping at some point but am really trying to put it off. I've been eating all sorts of things for my dinner but i know i haven't been eating properly and i think thats one of the reasons my cold is taking longer to go away!
Anyway i'd better get to bed now need to be up early to make lunch for work and get clothes ready for football for tomorrow night
Will update again soon hopefully with some more positive news
Thanks for listening

Hi buddie - hang in there!
I forgot to ask - are you signed up with pigsback.co.uk and quidco.com?
Pigsback allows you to earn points, many for nothing, which you can then use to collect vouchers for Boots, Dorothy Perkins and many more. Many people then give these vouchers to friends and family for Christmas - great as the vouchers have cost them nothing so saves a bunch on Xmas costs. There is an excellent thread in the Freebies board - kind folks on there post links to Pigsback competitions and they also post the answers so there's no work for you :T :j :T :j
Quidco.com gives you fantastic real cash back, many of the cashbacks are for products you don't even need to buy, For example you can open a Cahoot savings account (no need to deposit anything in it) and you will get £26.50, order a pay as you go sim card for £2 and get £20 cashback and also £12 credit! Get a new mobile phone contract and you can get up to £50 cash back. These are examples, maybe you are already with them so I won't waffle on, but do ask questions or PM me if you are not registered. :TMFW #185

Hi EagerLearner
Just back in from the football. Luckily I didn't buy a programme ... team got beat 4 - 1 (glad it was only a friendly match) so i ended up only having to buy my dinner so that was lucky.
Yes i am signed up for pigsback and quidco ... i've about £40 worth of Boots vouchers put away for christmas so far. I only joined quidco in July so i've not received any payments as yet but i do have £115.00 showing as being tracked so fingers crossed that will come through as i could really do with the extra cash.
Im off to bed now and back to both jobs tomorrow. Im not going to have anything to update tomorrow (at least i hope not... unless its money appearing from somewhere ??? ) so will just need to wait until Friday to see what my wage is from my 2nd job to see if i can pay anything off my debts with it although i'll need to get petrol at some point:rolleyes:
nite nite

Hi Buddiebabe - hang in there - you need to enjoy the things in life that are relatively free for now, there are plenty of them!
Do the easymobile SIM card offer if you haven't yet - spend £2 and get £20 Quidco cashback (and £12 free credit on the SIM) - if you have a friend or family member that'd like one you can do it for them, just make sure you pay with their card as each SIM has to be for a unique person and different address. Each person you sign up will earn you £20 Quidco cashback. Remember that each one needs to be 'activated' online so keep a note of each password for each SIM card so you can activate yours when it comes in.MFW #185

This weekend i managed to make it in to overtime for the last time - so that means i've got 5 hours at double time to go into my October wage along with the 4 hours at time and a half for last weekend.
I won the bonus ball in my second job so got an extra £14.00 so im keeping that for using for during the week so i wont be spending anything out my account this week.
I've been asked to work Sundays in my second job (as im no longer going to be working overtime - so it'll just be 7 hours basic but an additional £12.00 for running the shop) I know its not going to be as good but it will be extra money and on a weekly basis.
I was supposed to get an extra £6.00 in my wage for running the shop two weeks ago but they forgot to put it through so i should get that this week
I've not been doing very well on the money saving front and spending money like its been going out of fashion... you would think id learnt my lesson.
Anyway i have now. I had no money to buy food this week but luckily my tesco clubcard vouchers came so i got £49.00 so i went food shopping today and have managed to stock up my cupboards and only spent £2.00 in cash.
I've made lasagne so that will do me for lunch tomorrow and dinner 2moro night and have got stuff in so that i shouldn't need to buy anything at all this week... well i hope not!!!
The girl that i car share with is not going to have access to a car for the next few weeks so she is going to give me petrol money of £15.00 per week until we can go back to car sharing again then she should be driving for a month so hopefully i'll be able to manage but its approx £40.00 to fill my car up and its gone from every two weeks to every week so over the course of 4 weeks its an extra £5.00 i need to find a week.
Why does nothing ever go right???
I've written all my outstanding debts in a small notebook that i can keep in my bag so it means everytime i go into my bag to get my purse i should see it and it should stop me from spending any money!!! well thats the idea
Oh forgot i've got the dentist this week so that and petrol should be the only two things i need to spend money on this week ( i hope )
Got 193 things listed on ebay but only 9 selling at 99p each ... not even enough to cover my fees yet ... but still 3 days to go so there's still hope :rotfl:
Still no word of my grampa's money coming through yet but when it does the overdraft and the sky card are going (if there is enough to cover them both)

Found out at work today that overtime is continuing until the 17th September so i can get another 3 sundays in at double time :j :j :j just need to wait until the 18th for a day off now
Off to second job now to tell them the bad news that i cant work a sunday until the 24th ... but i just cant turn down double time at full time job !!!DEBT OUTSTANDING 23.04.17 £16802.970 -
Not updated for a while so was quite surprised to find out since last time i updated that i'd paid over £800 towards my debt.
Still not received my inheritance from my grampa's estate yet. It should be through by the end of September so am keeping my fingers crossed!
Overtime at work finished today so there will be no more extra money to go towards my bills from my main job. I've still to get paid for the overtime i did at the beginning of this month so i should be ok for October to pay something extra and then i'll really need to watch what im spending from November onwards and just try not to get caught up will buying presents that people don't need. I've managed to get a few things in the sales recently and have some boots vouchers saved up thanks to pigsback. My first quidco payment is showing as scheduled so im looking forward to receiving that so its going straight towards another debt!

Ebay's not been going that well lately but its been the same stuff i've just been relisting but im off on holiday this week so will need to try to get back into listing some stuff and clearing out more junk from my house.

Well done!!! Get in your handbags, down the side of the settee etc & find £19.73p quick!!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
