    Hi buddiebabe

I think you're the only person that can make this difficult decision. I know you've been looking forward to your holiday, so if you need a complete break to recharge your batteries then take it and don't think about the money.

But if you think a big lump of unplanned income would make you feel better then do that.

I think you should go with your gut feeling rather than trying to think too logically about it.

    Great news anyway.

Thanks Seaxwyn i know i do tend to think too much about things... i just find sometimes i cant say no :o especially when it comes to money

Im thinking i'll maybe just work tuesday, wednesday and thursday then i can still have all weekend to myself. It means i don't get all my holiday but i didn't really have anything planned apart from clearing out the house.... which can always be done another day

Walked to work today to save me the small amount of petrol i have in my car :p I also put my slow cooker on before i went to work so i came home to a nice hot cooked sausage hot pot :D

Got an email to say my Morgan Stanley statement was ready so checked and outstanding balance is £2029.75 so minimum payment this month is £41.00 - paid £9.75 to it at the moment as i can't pay it all yet until i get paid on Thursday. I'd like to pay £40 to this instead of the £31.25 i need to pay as i just hate odd pennies on my accounts  just me being silly i guess :o but if i do this it always brings the outstanding balance down by £20.00 a month so it feels like this debt is not just repaying the interest.

£650.00 target £493.70 paid to date £156.30 still to be paid this month (its looking like i'll definately do this) - will pay the balance of what i owe Tesco and Morgan Stanley on Thursday and my Skycard is due in any day now at least Debenhams is a bit later in the month - might give me some time to find this money

Have spent the last hour entering competitions..... just hoping for some big wins now  or small wins .... im not really that fussy as long as its not cost me anything :p

Well done BB and hope you have had a great Easter! On the days you are off, def do something for yourself like take a book or mag to a park, enjoy some sun, buy an ice-cream or go for a long walk - the exercise and fresh air clear the brain and will give you natural endorphins. You can then prob come home and do the cleaning in a speedy time as you will be all buzzed up from being off and taking some 'me' time. Well done on your payments todate - remember that it's only the 9th and you ar edoing really well towards this months goal. The sooner you meet it, the sooner you can put money aside for the next months.

Have you thought of looking at the freebie cinema ticket thread - maybe you can get a free preview movie in your area for a treat?

Well i decided to go into work today. I was supposed to be on holiday and would have only received 13 hours wages next week so decided to go into work as i'd probably just have lay in my bed all morning and i don't get paid for that.... wish someone would pay me to sleep  im really good at that :p

Anyway im going to be paid my wages for any hours i work and also 6 hours holiday pay so i should have a good wage next week

I paid my gas bill today £106.23 and my heating has been switched off since the 6th April so am hoping for a lower bill in 3 months as long as i survive the cold:rolleyes: am sitting here with my pyjamas on a jumper and my dressing gown and covered by a blanket :o but every little helps so they say... all i need is the sun to come back and it would be fine.

Went to the dentist after work and didn't have to pay anything... at the moment... i've to go back in May and it will cost me approx £26 which i'll be able to get back from HSA ;)

Well i got paid from my main job yesterday and my second job today... so for 5 mins i was in credit in my bank account :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The interest was added to my RBS credit card of £159.51 yesterday so the balance for that now stands at £9780.00 (i paid the £4.51) to round it down.

I also made up the minimum payment on my Tesco Card to £50.00 and my Morgan Stanley card to £40.00. I paid Sky card £69.73 and i've left £5.00 in my RBS current account to go towards the overdraft so in total i made payments of £169.24

My target for this month was £650.00 and at my last update i had paid £500.17 so in total i have now paid £669.41 towards my debts this month so have exceeded my target :j :j :j and i still have my debenhams card to pay

So once i've paid the Debenhams card i should have paid over £700.00 towards my debts this month. Im not going to set my target at any more than £650 at the moment will wait and see how next month goes

Feeling quite optimistic today that i can actually do this.

I've not gambled now for 8 days and i can really see the benefits... its been really tempting but the only thing i have bought is my weekly lottery ticket (i used to do this on the internet but closed my account as it was too tempting) i now walk to the shop round the corner to put my ticket on... and it seems to have worked i won £10 on wednesday :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've worked 19.5 hours extra at my 2nd job (during my holiday) and i actually feel better for it. I walked to work every day i've done and have had a really good workout lifting and sorting all the stock out in the warehouse.... if i hadn't gone into work i would have just lay in my bed for a few hours which would have been a waste of the full day.

Am going to go get ready my sister is taking me out for lunch today.

Hi BB - you are doing really well and sound much more positive! Keep a sticky near your PC to remind you not to gamble, pay off nasty debts instead! Glad you are getting things paid off and some more 'me' time and time with your sis x

    Thanks eagerlearner

I've got a calander beside my pc and every day i don't gamble i put a big pink cross through each day and have written on the days that i bought my lottery ticket.

I had a nice lunch with sis today. We went for a wander round the shops and it was hard seeing her waste money on things i know she doesn't need. She was trying to pursuade me to buy a new top that i liked (it was £22 reduced to £8 in the sale) and it was lovely but i knew that i wouldn't be wearing it anytime soon so i didn't buy it.

I did buy a few books from the charity shop which i will read then sell on. When i came back home i sat in the garden and started reading one which i will probably have finished by tonight!!! Its still nice outside but i couldn't sit out for any longer.

I will need to do some housework and some ironing at some point but i cant really be bothered at the moment. Its just too nice.

Well most of you would have read my post if not then the link to is it below

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=431764

Well i haven't heard from him... not that i thought i would. She did phone me again to ask loads of questions and basically confirmed that everything he told me in the last seven years has been a lie.

Managed to go to work on Friday night. It was hard but everyone was really understanding. I managed Saturday too, which was a bit easier.

2moro is going to be the hardest day for me i think. Going into my main job and having everyone ask how im feeling.... cause everytime anyone asks it sets me off again and thats just text messages i don't know how im going to face everyone.

I've deleted all the messages off my phone, deleted my windows messenger account, changed all my passwords and also phoned up and changed my mobile phone number so im not going to get any contact from him.

I had 2 mobile phone contracts running so i've phoned up today and cancelled one and changed it to pay as you go. My other one has free texts and minutes but the contract isn't up yet so i'll change it when it runs out.

I just feel completely empty. I have the doctors 2moro night so im hoping he will be able to give me something to see me through the next few weeks cause i don't think im coping all that well. I have managed to refrain from gambling which was my biggest worry when all this happened... it used to cheer me up but so far its been 18 days since i last placed a bet (apart from the lottery) but thats budgeted for and i won £10 last Wed.

My sister bought me that top that we had seen when we were out shopping. I told her she shouldn't have done that but she wouldn't take it back so i gave her a bracelet and earrings that i had been going to sell on ebay (it was just costume jewellery so wouldn't have got much and she'd wanted it for ages)

She also passed her driving test on Thursday (the day my world fell apart) i have phoned to tell her how happy i was for her but she understood why i couldn't go out to celebrate with her.

I've transferred money out of my paypal account and paid £4.61 towards my barclaycard, £4.60 towards my MBNA and £11.34 towards my alliance and leicester overdraft. Totalling £20.55

This means that i've paid £689.96 towards my debts this month... still not paid my Debenhams card yet so it will be more than £700 by the end of the month.

May's target is £650.00 i already have £94.98 saved for my MBNA minimum payment leaving only £555.02 to find for May's minimum payments.

Sorry for the long post. If it wasn't for all your support then i don't know where i would be or what i would be doing now

To be frank: Bollox - I think you're coping excellently well.

Reading the rest of your post, you are doing the right things. Yes it hurts right now - hurts real bad, but you are coping very well. The gambling is excellent - the icing on the cake - so I can't see why you shouldn't give yourself a pat on the back and say "well done you". :T
