Well i've had a mixed day today.

Came home from work tonight to a letter from Barclaycard telling me that they were reducing my credit limit from £5700 to £5310 after reviewing my account.... i've always payed on time and never been over my limit  Anyway i phoned them and the number on the letter was for their collections department  when i got through to them i got a foreign sounding woman who could not make out my card number although i took it one number at a time.... she then hung up on me... Phoned back got someone else who promptly cut me off again so third and final time phoned customer service number and told them what the letter said and asked if they were going to reduce my interest rate as they were reducing my limit... she laughed at me and said there was no chance of that.

I was so angry i told her to reduce my limit to £5200 and i will be phoning every time i make a payment and reduce it even further .... just wish i had the money to tell Barclays where to shove their cards!!!!

Went into the garden and started pulling up the weeds which took away some of my anger. I then came into the house and ended up gambling away £190.00 on my Skycard  I know it was really stupid but in a way it was the kick up the bum i needed. After wasting that money i phoned them and closed my account which was such a good feeling... just wish id done that first instead of wasting the money.

I then went onto my other online accounts and found £3.60 in one which it let me withdraw into my bank account and i've closed that account also. All my other accounts i went into the accounts and changed all the passwords so no longer have any idea what they are.

I had a Monument card (also part of the Barclays group) which had an available limit of £3000 I phoned them to ask what the interest rate was on the card and if there was any promotional rate for balance transfers to which they replied no so i told them to refund my 1p credit and close my account :T they asked why i wanted to close it and i told them its because its part of Barclays bank... which didn't go down that well but i don't care.

I then phoned up MBNA to see if they could reduce my interest rate but the phone line for that closed at 7pm but they did give me the direct number to call 2moro (so i will) while i was on the phone i reduced my limit on my MBNA card to £4700.

So tonight although i have spent £190.00 i actually feel alot more positive now my gambling accounts are inaccesible and that i've reduced my available credit by £3800.00 :T

My total outstanding debt is £28804.20 and estimated debt free date is in 87 months July 2014.

Going to enter some competitions now so i can win some prizes that i can ebay

Hey good for you! That sounds like a really positive evening's work. Good to know that that debt total will dwindle now and I bet it doesn't take anything like 87 months.

Thanks for that. I think im finally heading in the right direction... only problem is im absolutely shattered now!!! Think it's all worn me out ;) either that or spending half an hour in the fresh air doing the gardening has taken its toll on me :o am going to leave the competitions till friday as im off work and then i can spend all day entering them.

Im really looking forward to next week... im off work for a weeks holiday and i get paid on Thursday so should have 5 hours overtime... not much but its a start. My neighbour got a plumber out and they have fixed it... it was a blockage in her pipe so its been fixed. The water damage dried in so its not noticable and there is no lasting damage that i can see. The plumber managed to clear the damage and dried it all out so at the moment am not going to do anything about it as its not noticable and there is no smell coming from it (which is what i was told would happen if it had been damaged really bad) so fingers crossed no more flooding

Really looking forward to my week off. Am off from both jobs as of Monday cant wait for my extra long lie

The minimum payment for my Royal Bank of Scotland card and MBNA card have come out of my account today totalling £307.79

£650.00 target £437.65 paid to date £212.35 still to be paid this month

I still have my Debenhams, Skycard, Morgan Stanley and Tesco statements to come through and the minimum payments to pay which should amount to more than this figure (just need to find this money  )

I've spent the day doing my washing (4 loads so far) and its all hanging out in the garden... knowing my luck its going to rain

I've cleaned half of the kitchen and done all my dishes.

My gas bill came in today and it was £106.23 for 3 months  its so bad that i've switched the heating off today... i'll just need to put on extra clothes instead of the heating :p At least i had saved the money in my Dunfermline account it's more than i expected it to be but i've got enough to cover it.

I took £100 out of my works savings account that i was keeping for xmas (well i figured that i am on holiday and although i have nothing planned i'd like to have some money so that i can do something if i wanted to) I've put £30 in my bank and have £65 left for me. I've got the dentist on Tuesday so will need some money for that. I might treat myself to a haircut

I think i'll take my mum out for lunch one day 2 as she's always doing so much for me.

Im going to go get ready for my 2nd job... just tonight, 2moro 2 - 6 and Sunday all day to go then i get a break for a week from it 2 :j

Im determined to get the house tidied, cleared out and everything listed on ebay during this week off. Im also determined to enter every competition i can on Monday. I might enter some tonight but am not going to commit myself to anything.

Hope everyone is having a good good friday :rotfl:

Well i received my Tesco statement today and the outstanding balance on this after interest is £2381.27. The minimum payment for this is £71.00 i don't have enough to cover this at the moment so made a payment of £31.27 today and will pay the remaining amount once i get paid.

I've also kept £5.00 in my Royal Bank of Scotland account to pay towards paying back my overdraft. I'm just going to have to pretend my overdraft limit is £995 instead of £1000

£650.00 target £473.92 paid to date £176.08 still to be paid this month

On the plus side i got my electricity statement in this morning and im £0.64 in credit :j :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Am going to put some stuff on ebay before i go to work at 2

I went into work in my 2nd job today to get a few things before i started and my boss asked me to come into work early. So i worked 2 hours extra today which will only work out about £7.49 after tax and national insurance but its extra.

I was due to finish for a weeks holiday after my shift 2moro but my boss has said that he can give me as many hours work as i wanted during my weeks holiday from my main job. What should i do??? How many days should i work??? should i take the hours while they are going or should i take a break???

I've said that im not working next weekend at all and im taking Monday off. I've been asked to go in all day Tuesday but just remembered that i've got the dentist on Tuesday and the docs on Wednesday so im going to need to take ask to get away to go to my appointments which might not go down too well (but in effect im doing them the favour so it shouldn't be a problem i hope)

I emptied my change jar and paid £4.40 into my alliance and leicester account along with a cheque for £3.61.

£650.00 target £483.95 paid to date £166.05 still to be paid this month

Any ideas about the extra work are appreciated
