Apart from latching onto the fact that that I am saying the thread has taken up residence blah blah - are you noting the first part of that sentence?

I have never has issue with where it is; quantity has bothered me mostly, the content a little less.

Right I am now beginning to feel that I am a hamster running on a little wheel as this thread is going nowhere.

As much as I disagree with GotToChange and Bounder keep arguing the fact is not solving the problem.
Might a propose thise (albeit reluctantly):
A Weekly thread (personally I don't see why people are so positively phobic about a daily thread - the one on OS works and no one seems to have issue with it, even if heaven forbid it goes slightly OT)

This is done on the understanding that GotToChange and Bounder (as you are the ones who I can see who are upsetting people) stop posting snide remarks and smart @rsed comments in these threads. Your behaviour is making people not want to participate and since you expect the "fashion" thread posters to show manners it would be fair to expect you to do the same.

I have a suggestion guys, why doesn't ab and gottochange go away and leave us 'self absorbed' fashionista'a to get on with it???? You both claim that our daily/bikini wax/whatever threads are pointless and you don't like whatever on them, so take yourselves off and find a thread that interests you..by the way what does interest you both, other than arguing/belittling people????

I think the contributors and not the opposers should decide how we proceed from here on. AB and Gottochange have had enough of an input now. We get it, you don't agree and seem to be unable to be nice in anyway shape or form, leave us alone!!

I dont read your threads as I find them boring and rather boastful and gossipy and of no value whatsoever to the money saving ethos of this board.

I object to them cluttering up the place to be honest. Why you cant have one thread about what you are wearing I dont know, - unless of course it is just to become such a nuscience that you get your own way and get a sub board.

I dont have a problem with the "where will I get" or " best value" type threads as they can be construed as money saving.

And although I dont read the threads in question, I object to having to download them as part of the new threads. Ive already bought this up on the forum descussion board, not everyone can get broadband and downloading total trivia really does get my goat.

So still not able to give a sensible answer. This was a sensible thread to try and make every one fit in but got hijacked by people like Bronie who cant debate her corner.
There are very few daily (I can think of one) and weekly threads. The one weekly thread on OS attracts over 1000 posts a week anyway.
What would happen if we had daily diet threads for all the different diets or daily make up threads? or daily support for depression.
Its not much to ask for just one "what are you wearing today" thread without a date. It makes sense and so far none of you have managed to put up a comprehensible argument against it.

Thing is Sharron whilst in principle I agree with you BUT and its a big BUT they will continue to make remarks and in the long run that is only going to affect people posting. So many have already stopped posting, I was hoping with a weekly thread for "What I am wearing" without the sniping would encourage people to come back and post.
As far as I am concerned any other thread posted regarding clothes, accessories etc is separate and nothing to do with the daily thread and can remain as they are.

This b1tchfest is ruining the vibe of this board and I would like a harmonious "atmosphere" whereby people don't feel intimidated by ANYTHING that they post (as long as its in the spirit of the rules of etiquette )

Trust me I've been more restrained than I really want to be but the only way to resolve this is to make some sort of compromise. My gut feeling is despite protestations to the contrary there are those that would rather be rid of the "fashion" (god I hate that term as it doesn't represent most of what gets discussed) threads altogether but that isn't going to happen. So therefore they will have to continue to suck it up in that respect. Surely we can be the bigger people and make one tiny concession. Those that have responded on this thread have said they don't mind weekly or daily so despite me not seeing the issues about a daily thread lets have a weekly one instead.

Bitsy, i wasn't objecting to a weekly, i don't mind either way, what i am objecting to is the fact that it shouldn't be them who decide. Yes i have refrained from posting what i really want to say to them, and in the real world i would have. But i observe the 'please be nice'. Unfortunatly it seems that confrontation is the only language they understand. When other people have tried to be nice or ask a question they get ignored.

If we do have a weekly, there is no gurantee that they will not still be snide and nasty. Take the bikini wax thread where gottochange made 'orrible remarks on there. She can't help herself. The point i was trying to make is that whatever is decided it shouldn't be done beacause of those two. Becasue they won't go away (despite several threats of not posting anymore)

I agree the whole thing is ruining the vibes of the board, and yes it is about much more that Fashion, it's about making the most of what you have. God we need some mse team intervention!!!!!
