• I too got scammed but I managed to cancel within the timescale. However I was charged the initial £3.99 postage costs and then a further £6.99 for returns administration costs. I intend to get in touch with Trading standards and in the mean time I hope that I do not get charged the £59.99

I was posting on the other thread but will move to this one as it has more recent responses.

I emailed Dazzlewhite yesterday and got the following response:

Hello,

You have been removed from the auto ship program and you will not be receiving any further shipments.

As per the Terms and Conditions which you indicated that you had read and agreed to before placing your initial order, you were charged the first of three discounted monthly installments of $58.76 for the three month supply of amazing DazzleSmile which you have received.

Your cancellation ********

Please review the Terms and Conditions which you had indicated that you had read and agreed to before placing your order:

I apologize, but everything is clearly stated in our terms & conditions.

We are unable to process that because of your privacy and security reasons.

You can call our member support staff at our toll-free number for all return information : 0-808-120-1987

They are available 5:00 AM – 8:00 PM (MST) Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, they are open from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (MST). They are closed on Sundays.

Have I addressed all of your concerns or is there something else that I can help you with today?

Respectfully,
Dazzle Smile Support
Luke

To which I replied as follows:

Dear Luke

Thank you for cancelling the subscription in the above customer ID.

I would like to request that you provide me a full refund within 30 days under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations. I would also like to point out that it is not possible for us to return any goods as we have not received any other than the initial 'free trial'.

Regarding the rest of your email - did you read all my email before responding? I did not read nor agree to any terms and conditions as I did not place any initial order. My 16 year old son who thought he was paying £1.00 for postage for a one-off free trial has confirmed that he was not made aware of the fact he was entering a subscription nor did he see any terms and conditions to indicate otherwise when ordering nor on the site he ordered from. Your posting a link to a website neither of us has seen before does not mean he had seen it prior to ordering. However all of this is actually irrelevant given that no goods were dispatched so please issue a refund as above.

Yours sincerely

For those who may find it useful the email address for Dazzlewhite is:

support@dazzlewhitenow.com
Many thanks to the OP who posted about the Distance Selling Regulations.

I am also awaiting a form from my credit card company so I can apply for a charge back via them. I asked for this before I found Dazzlewhite's email address - here's hoping it isn't necessary!
I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.

Good luck with you all trying to get your money back but im amazed at why you would want to get them whitened in the first place by anyone apart from yoru dentist for a clean and then using something like arm & hammer toothpaste of indeed pearl drops - work for me and im a smoker.

Even Boots do decent whitening stuff nowadays.

INSIST???????? You signed up for it!!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest asking for help reasonbly. Credit card cos/banks don't lie. They can help but only under the card owners (ie, Visa, Mastercard) regulations. It can be longwinded but it is the only way to deal with these things.

Comments like yours, BFG, make me angry...GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!!!

It's a shame yu have fallen for this, but if you go to this article:
http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/consumers/fact-sheets/page38311.html#
It says: Goods are of satisfactory quality if they reach the standard that a reasonable person would regard as satisfactory, taking into account the price and any description.
You could use this as a legal loophole?
Also:
If goods do not conform to contract at the time of sale, purchasers can request their money back "within a reasonable time". (This is not defined and will depend on circumstances)

EDIT: Beware of kardashian Smile aswell

(CTW) -- Amidst one of the worst recessions in history, thrifty consumers are turning to the internet to take advantage of special offers.

Becky, an ordinary mom from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire discovered a clever trick to get a celebrity smile for less than $4.
Thanks to the trick she discovered, thousands of consumers have been able to whiten their teeth from home.
Step 1:
First get Dazzle White Pro (use promo code: DAZZLETODAY)

Step 2:
Then get Kardashian Smile
(This is key. Use both for results like Becky's)
Becky Bell, a Cheltenham school teacher and full time mother, is one such consumer. It all started about three months ago when she bought an authentic Coach pocketbook on sale over the internet for only $55 (75% off the retail price). She was determined to seek out other great offers and recently made her best find. Becky discovered a clever way of combining two different teeth whitening offers from two different companies - Dazzle White Pro and Kardashian Smile - to get results similar to that of a professional whitening done by a dentist. Rather then spending $500 at her local dentist to attain a sexy smile, she was able to do so for less than $4 by using free trial offers she found online.

Becky: "I like to consider myself a smart shopper, always finding the best bang for my buck. My online teeth whitening discovery was without a doubt one of the best finds I made this year."

How did Becky wind up with yellow teeth?

While my mom always told me be to be proud of who I am and what I look like, I have always been self conscious about my yellow teeth. Truthfully, I have no one to blame for this problem but myself. I smoked for 8 years, drink 2 cups of coffee a day (only way to stay awake at work), and love a glass of red wine to help me sleep at night. Furthermore, I would be lying if I said that I brushed my teeth 3 times a day every day. While I recently quit smoking and have cut back on the amount of coffee I drink, my tooth discoloration seems to be permanent. I used just about every "whitening" toothpaste and mouthwash product on the market and saw little if any improvement.

A co-worker of mine recently recommended to do some research online before making my next purchase. As an elementary school teacher with a modest salary and a sizeable mortgage, cost was a major concern. While searching the Web I found a few online teeth whitening companies giving away free trials where you only had to pay a few dollars for shipping. I ordered two products, Dazzle White Pro and Kardashian Smile, both of which had 9/10 ratings and positive feedback from all users. After using the first product the results were noticeable, but after following with the second product I had a celebrity white smile. I'm far from a medical expert, but it appears that each product focused on DIFFERENT parts of the problem and that the second one put the whitening effect into overdrive. By using them both in a row I had absolutely unbelievable results. I can't believe companies are practically giving these products away!

Becky: "I'm an optimist and always look for the silver lining in any situation. While this recession has negatively impacted me like everyone else, my savvy shopping skills got me the smile I always wanted."

My teeth went from looking like this:

To looking beautiful and sexy like this:

Online teeth whitening companies are DESPERATE for new customers and are giving away free trials as a way to find new clients and offload excess inventory. You can and should take advantage of the downturn in the economy just like Becky.

When asked to elaborate on her discovery Becky said:

"I was impressed with the results after the first 3 days - but once I saw my teeth after a week, I was absolutely blown away... I knew I was onto something. The trick is to use TWO trial products that compliment each other TOGETHER to give yourself a whitening comparable to that of your favorite actress. In the beginning, I just used the first product, but after a few days I decided to try the products simultaneously. I believe this gave me optimum results."

Cheltenham Web News Daily would like to thank Becky for this amazing teeth whitening tip. If you are interested in using Becky's trick, we have provided links and coupon code information for the two products she used. After further research, we have learned that these coupon codes will work until the offers expire, so you have until Sunday, October 25, 2009 to obtain these free trials. Remember, to get results like Becky's, you will want to use BOTH products together. The coupon codes reduce shipping costs to under $4 total ($1.95 for Dazzle White Pro, and $1.95 for Kardashian Smile, valid until Sunday, October 25, 2009):

Step 1: Click here for Dazzle White Pro (Use Promo Code: DAZZLETODAY) (expires: Thursday, October 22, 2009)

Step 2: Click here for Kardashian Smile (expires: Friday, October 23, 2009)
• Looks like dazzlesmile is a registered trademark and the current scam artists have been using it illegally:

Doing some searches on Google it looks like the company behind the scam is Just Think Media who are in Canada and their email is: customerservice@justthinkmedia.com if that helps someone?

They use various different names and addresses though (Farend Services Limited in Cyprus and Dazzlewhite in County Durham being just 2 of them):
