sorry about the poor grammar and spelling but wadya expect from a moron who gave out her bloody bank details on an unsecured online form
I checked this when I paid and it was a secure server, https. I guess that means they securely get your bank details and they are encrypted en route! After that they can do what they like with them!0 -
Dazzle White (now calling their product Dazzle Smile) are currently giving their address as being in Nicosia, North Cyprus:
Farend Services Limited
3 Athinodorou Street, 2025 Dasoupoli,
Strovolos, Nicosia, Cyprus
http://www.dazzlesmilepro.com/contactus.php
Given that the company (Just Think Media) is based in Canada, why would they do that? Very dodgy.
Yet one of their other sites gives their address as a US one:
Farend Services Ltd.
PO Box 10276
Des Moines, Iowa
50381
United States
A Google search shows that address as being linked with hundreds of complaints about Dazzlewhite and Acaiburn:

A search on the Cyprus address shows links to lots of p0rn sites:
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=3+Athinodorou+Street%2C+2025+Dasoupoli%2C&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
I would suggest everyone file a complaint at https://www.econsumer.gov and at www.fraud.org so that the relevant authorities can investigate these companies further."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

And, of course, Northern Cyprus is a "non-country" where crooks take refuge because they know they cannot be extradited. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

There is also an affiliate network in the UK (Profitistic) promoting this scam on their network:
See: http://www.affiliates4u.com/forums/profitistic/122141-dazzle-smile-pro-teeth-whitening-launches-profitistic.html
Feel free to contact James by phone or email and tell him what you think of the company he is "pleased to welcome" as a client of his company!"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

I bought a teeth whitening kit at the NEC Baby Show this year for £30 special offer. When I asked her if I could use it whilst pregnant (after I had handed over the money) she said "no"!!!
Still sitting in my fridge!0 -
I fell for this, but I read the article and sent the following email:
As I have received no goods whatsoever, or any acknowledgement of my last email, (see below), I have made a complaint to 'econsumer.gov' under the "Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000".
This was the advice I was given:
Whenever you purchase an item online or by other 'distance means' I.e. Where there is no face to face meeting then the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 apply. The rights given when buying in the way covered by the Regulations means that you should be given clear information before placing your order e.g. The name and address of the trader, written information about your purchase, the price, cost of delivery, method of payment, your rights to cancel, delivery arrangements (normally within 30 days unless you agree otherwise). Therefore if you do not like the goods once they have arrived, you can cancel and receive a full refund of the money paid at the time of the order.
You can cancel at any time until the end of the seventh working day after the day on which you receive the goods, the trader would only need to receive the notice of cancellation within this time and not the goods – you will need to check your terms and conditions for more information on when and how to return the goods. You can therefore cancel even before you receive the goods if you so wish. Once you have exercised your right to cancel, which must be in writing, fax or email, the seller must refund your money in full, without a restocking charge within 30 days of cancelling the agreement.
Your complaint has also been passed to Trading Standards who will assess all the relevant information and may investigate the company.
Under the consumer Protection (Distance selling) Regulations 2000, I would like to cancel the order and request that you provide me with a full refund within 30 days.
It has been brought to my attention that your scam was exposed on Aug 26th in an article in the Daily Mirror, and I shall be contacting them if this issue is not resolved.
I just checked my online credit card account, and they have credited it all back! So anyone else - go for it!!

"Almost 700 complaints have been filed with Edmonton's Better Business Bureau about the online company Dazzle White or Dazzle Smile. "
"...agencies across North America are looking into the company, including the FBI, U.S. Federal Trade Commission and Canada's Competition Bureau"
http://www.edmontonsun.com/news/edmonton/2009/10/02/11243776-sun.html
Any victims of this scam can file a complaint online at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ or http://www.econsumer.gov/english/ and www.ic3.gov/ - the more complaints they get, the more evidence they have and the more likely they are to take action against this rip-off."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."
