Hi been taken in too!!! What was the e-mail address to write to these 'people' to cancel? I have been charged by Pristine health, Try it First Group, Improve health & Healthsmile a grand total of £177!!
Have cancelled cc but had no luck phoning - plus, don't want to pay them more money with international phone calls!! tried the on-line 'chat' and got one cancellation number. Do I need more nos???
    Help please!
  • I too signed up for the teeth whitening scam on Tues evening and stupidly googled them too late.....I sent an email telling them I wanted to cancel and not to take money out of my a/c.
I did get an email back in the morning to say I had to cancel through the required process etc.
Weds morning I was on the phone to my banck to cancel debit card and have a new one issued. Weds night I got another email to say to with canceling intructions etc

Friday the product turned up and I sent it back doing exactly as they asked RM number etc and I sent it by registered post. This morning I go on my bank a/c and a £6.20 amount was taken out by SEGPAYEU.COM and it had a number cy 09.95 which I take the cy means Cyprus as Extreme white have that as one of thei addresses. Both of these amounts were taken out against my cancelled debit card.
So hopefully they had already called for the two amounts before I cancelled the card although I wonder why they would take out the handling charge of 6.25 before I cancelled and sent the product back which makes me worried that they are going to continue taking money out of my account. My fraud dept at my bank say they have had hundreds of their customers fall for the scam and the banks are looking into closing them down but to see how cos they have it so the money is sent to Cyprus which dont help our comsumer rights.
    grrrrrrrrrrr!

Hi, I have contacted the local BBC Radio, Watchdog, trading Standards, the Money Programme, my MP and anyone else I can think of!!! These 'people' (I use the term loosely) cannot continue to trade like this. Each has come back to me for full details.
If anyone wishes to let me know of their experiences, I'm happy to collate it.

Did you know....the cc companies and banks are duty bound to pay these people because they have our details and can keep going back to our banks for more money? We are unable to put a block on funds going out to them. The only way to stop it is to cancel your cards/close your bank account and start again.
I feel the Government need to be involved in turning this over and allowing the banks the power to protect us from these scammers. Write to your MPs !!!
  • What's more according to this article:
    http://www.scamtimes.com/product-scams/bad-dazzlewhite-ripping/
the teeth whitening kits they are charging people $89 a month for without their permission can be bought wholesale for $1.50 to $3.50! In fact, given the volume they are sending out, dazzlewhite / premium white probably pay $1 or less for each one that they charge $89 for? What a rip-off! Not to mention all the other unasked for 'services' they sign you up for with their own additional monthly charges.

People can also file a complaint using the online form at econsumer:
    http://www.econsumer.gov/english/

The info will be sent to the OFT (UK) and shared with participating consumer protection law enforcers in other countries including Canada and the US (Where this scam seems to be based).

I'm amazed that they actually replied ot the ASA, most scammers don't even bother.

Looks like they are almost a proper company...yikes!!!!!!!
  • Hi, my Mother fell for this scam a couple of weeks ago. I have drummed into her I don't know how many times, never reply to emails which she did and never spend money on anything that sounds too good to be true. I despair, has anyone actually managed to get their money back, she's a pensioner and can't afford to have the heating on let alone have £59.99 coming out of her bank.
