Just recieved a traffic enforcement notice from TPS (assuming they are a ppc??) it doesnt look like an invoice but rather official can anyone advise please?
I never recieved the initial notice which would of allowed me to pay the reduced amount.
The notice states - vehicle incorrectly positioned - i do remember the incident - i had parked just outside the bay lines because i wasnt able to park within them - obstruction by pet shop rabbit cages! The traffic warden tried to give me ticket once i had left the pet shop but i was loading heavy pet food into my car and couldnt take it but i tried to explain to the restricted polish speaking attendant of the obstruction but he pretended he couldnt understand the english language... he didnt try to fix the notice to my vehicle so i drove off and he started laughing... i thought that was the end of it unitl i got the enforcement notice today some 15 days after the incident.
where do i stand guys???0 -

Traffic Warden? Have TPS issued the ticket on behalf of a Council then?
If it's a Council ticket post the front & back of it here and you may get some reasons to appeal it. Do not ignore a real ticket from a Council or the Police.
But if the ticket is just one from TPS, asking you to pay/appeal to TPS (no Council logo) then it's a private parking ticket and the advice you've read above applies = ignore it. And if it is just a PPC ticket then the guy was just a private parking employee, not a Warden! Don't dignify him with a title he doesn't hold and don't go thinking the ticket is legit just because they've made it look official by copying a Council PCN. And don't fall for any threats they send you if they are only TPS/Debt Collector letters, file them away in the 'ignore' file too.
See the recent episode of Watchdog where they showed what to do with PPC tickets:

the enforcement notice is from total parking (tps) its a po box address in Kettering so im assuming its a private company.
Sorry my mistake i just assumed he was a traffic warden - looked official but could hardly speak english!
So the advice is to ignore them???
thank you0 -

Yes. 100% sure. Ignore it - see the link I gave to Watchdog, it applies to you.
Only a PCN from a Council or a FPN from the Police should be taken seriously. You have neither, I assume it's headed up 'Parking Charge Notice'? You'll have to endure some rubbish letters from them as well before they give up. Don't reply, don't appeal. Do NOTHING.
Have you seen how common this scam is? Just how many threads we have asking the same question as you every single day? See the other threads, read quite a few especially the first sticky threads:

We were issued with a private parking ticket in February from Security Solutions which we ignored, and now in May have received a final reminder from Parking Collection Services Limited which is a trading name of Debt Recovery Plus, with a threat to forward this parking charge to a debt recovery agency. Has anyone any information regarding any of these companies? We have read your excellent advice site and wouls appreciate any help.
Many thanks0 -
The advice is to just ignore. These various "debt recovery companies" are just different departments of private parking companies. They have no special powers, they cannot blacken your credit record, they cannot enter your property and they cannot seize goods. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

If you have read the site you will know what to do.

I have recieved my first threatening letter from Debt recovery plus ltd after some from TPS.
I was told I was parked on their property for an hour more than I realy was. I was very careful that I didn't stay longer than the 2hr limit and timed it so I knew I was out of the car park 20 mins before.
When I recieved the first letter from TPS I was shocked so claimed against it straight away. I asked them to investigate. All they did was send a letter back saying their information was correct. As they did not take my claim seriously, I didn't take the fine seriously. But now I am being threatened with court.
I would have paid the fine if I was in the wrong but there is no way I am paying just because they want a bit of extra cash. But I have no proof that I wasnt there for that amount of time so who will the courts believe?
Can some one please confirm that if I just ignore them, they will get off my back.
Thanks.0 -

Thanks.
Yes they will. Don't worry about court, they never go anywhere near one. Do not contact them again and ignore everything they send, it is all empty threats.0
