Hi folks,

I recently received an invoice from TPS Parking Solutions LTD.
I dont want to pay, but the last thing I want is people turning up to the door wanting money or going to court.

I have read this forum and the general consensus is to ignore the letters being sent.

I had no idea this car park had a stay time of only 1 hour.

What is the best solution anyone can supply?

Many Thanks.

Ignore, ignore, and ignore some more.

It's a mail-based scam. They may write a couple of times, but then they'll leave you along and move on to another victim.

Ignore it and all subsequent demands from anyone. File them on the offchance they do go to court but don't worry about it as that is highly unlikely.

Don't write or phone them as all this will do is prolong the harrassment - Only respond to properly issued court papers. If they do send anyone to your door (again unlikely) tell them to get lost - they are powrless to do anything other than ask for it and your credit won't be affected unless you fail to pay a court judgement.

    Hi folks,

I did over stay at the car park over an hour. Im unsure whether or not I went into the Halfords or Argos that was at the car park during this period.

I had no idea this car park had a stay time of only 1 hour.

    Many Thanks.

Just think how many drivers get caught, don't know they are being conned and just pay up then you can see why its 1 hour.
I suggest changing the "! did---" bit to "The driver did---"
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Thanks for the replies guys.

I went down thisafternoon to look at the signs and took a few pics to show thier whereabouts.
There are a few around the car park.
None on the immediate entrance to the car park though.
None where "the driver";) parked appart from 1 that is facing the opposite way.
There is 1 at the junction past the traffic lights as you go towards the car park. It is almost impossible to read as its small and high up on a lamp post, plus you cant stop to read or concentrate on the road if you notice it.

TPS don't do court, so very safe to ignore everything they throw at you.
  • Hey

Received the second letter from the ppc.
It states that if i don’t pay up they will take me to a small claims court and bailiffs and debt collectors will get involved.
It’s laughable. A few spelling mistakes here and there and the new red print is well off alignment.
    It just looks so unprofessional.

I guess i just keep on ignoring.

    Cheers

NO NO NO... Phone them up straight away, and tell them about the lovely letter they sent you, how nice and crisp the paper was and how neatly it was folded. tell them how it is better presented than that old unfair contract terms act that you printed out and those other documents like the harrassment act..... tell them how serious and boring those documents are, but how they lifted your spirits with the wonderful humour in their letter to you. How they joked about the handout they asked for (what a giggle). tell them you have laminated the letter and will keep it safe and snug in your bottom drawer.

Life is such fun, especially when you hear and feel TPS staff trying to convince you they are serious while heading towards a heart attack as you just take the mick out of them, meanwhile they cannot answer any other calls. I DO LOVE A PRIVATE PARKING TICKET AND ALL THE JOYS IT BRINGS FOR ME.
  • Received my third letter from TPS Parking Solutions.

It said I now owe them £110 plus interest as well as court fees if necessary.

The stated the will refer to their solicitors and then take me to court, in which they would get bailiffs to come and clear the debt. They also stated that my credit rating might be affected.

What do you guys think on this?
How many letters until they give up?
    Will it go to court???

    Cheers.

Keep ignoring as people has stated, just respond to official court papers if they ever turn up, which they wont, usually three or four letter and they give up!
