Morning all, welcome back Toots, hope the infection clears up soon x x
Mum and Dad have taken DD away for the weekend so only me and DS here today. I am going to blitz downstairs as it is a tip and then clean after OH is up (he works nights), going to have to rearrange the way I fly for the next couple of weeks as the house is so bad I can't join in with the lists so I am going to tackle a room a week, completely decluttering so that I can get to a point where the lists are relevant again! x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Morning. well still not really done much :nono:
Valli hope you feel better soon.
i had a major sort out last night and am thinking about doing a car boot but will have to do it when DH has the children and really don't fancy getting up early to do it and never actually don one before. tempted to see if DH will do it for me :ek:
Dolly I know that I always found that I was late if I was stressed about something etc. Always found I was late if I was due to go on holiday as well
Well really need to clean those floors and have a tidy of the living room. Think I will get DS to do it
:TTOOTS:T SO GLAD TO SEE YOU.January Grocery 11/3740 -

So sorry to hear of your loss Gingergirl...as AnWsMum says being there and showing support helps...maybe keep and eye on your friend and take her some meals round if you can especially as she has a little one to look after...I would think it will get harder for her as time goes on and other people start getting back to 'normal' and she hasn't got a normal to get back to so that'll be the time to make sure she has support IYSWIM (and please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong anyone).

:jYay! Toots is home!!!!!:j
Sorry I missed you toots. Welcome back honey and hope the infection clears up quickly. OH and I had wanted to go away, but there is nothing available last minute, as so many other people had the same idea because of the weather, so we'll just have to stay here and go out to places or something.
Sorry to hear your terrible news ginger - big hugs for you and yours.
kaz have you managed to find any shoes for your wedding yet? I got an email from dorothy perkins the other day, and they had some nice sandals, and next did too.
pigpen I'm glad that your furries are all getting on well. I'm off to our local rescue centre today for their summer fair - I go every year, and don't know how I resist not getting a little girl to keep Ebony company. I just worry that because he's been an only child and spoilt for so long, that he won't appreciate it. Also pleased that the new man in your life is doing you so much good. Fingers crossed that things with the ex improve soon too.
Valli I hope the pain goes soon and glad you enjoyed your walk.
me I wish you lots of luck getting back the money you're owed.
soappie I'm glad your sister's wedding went so well.
Well I did 2 loads of laundry yesterday, and that was about the extent of my flying apart from meal planning for the week and doing the food shop as I felt yuck! Still not great today, so off to have a shower and try to make myself feel a bit more human. Must have some breakfast too. Intend to have lunch at the fair as they usually have really nice home-made soup and cakes there.
Will change the sheets when I get home, as it'll be nice to have some clean sheets to look forward to tonight. Only 1 pile of laundry left to do, as I managed to do quite a few the other day - Little black furry obviously noticed yesterday, as he actually curled up to make himself into a laundry pile where the washing had been!
Hugs for all who need or want them,

I didn't do any foraging (other than an apple:D) - the pond where the watercress was looked fine enough to take it from but I didn't fancy getting my feet wet! Sloes/elders aren't ready yet and anyway I can get them MUCH closer to home...
The sandwiches I took had lettuce in from my garden which I HAD washed but there I was holding a sandwich and saw two caterpillars on the lettuce which was hanging out of my cob (bap/barm cake/bread roll) so I picked 'em off and flung 'em into the field and munched my cobs!
It was ONLY AFTER I GOT HOME THAT IT OCCURRED TO ME THAT THEY MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN ALONE :eek::eek::eek::eek:
thanks for the advice Greenbee - I used to wake up face down when pregnant - and some old wife told me that I'd be depriving my baby of oxygen! At 9lb+ I think not - the same huge thing that's 5' 11" now (and desperate to grow another inch lol)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

major panick now though as DD2 was 11weeks premature, shes 11months old now, but she's imuno-compromised so dread to think what'll happen if she gets it, everytime she's had a cold its turned into pneumonia_pale_
I hope he's ok, fingers crossed your DD doesnt get it.Ginger_Girl wrote: »Last night a very close friend died in a car accident. He was only 37 and had a 12 week old baby. Have spent part of today with his wife. Still feel like it's not real and that he's going to call or text and it's all been some horrible mistake. Just feel so useless - nothing I could say or do.
Huge hugs to you and your friend, such a terrible thing to happen:(
Nice to see you are back Toots, hope the infection clears soon. You better be taking it easy!

anyone with small children will appreciate this...
was painting back of fireplace while DH moving compost heap. 2 yr old was watching him out of the window, saying "Ilove helping Daddy, ooh, lovely compost" and I was thinking "ahh, family life". I looked round from my painting to find she was saying "ooh lovely compost" 'cos she was digging it out of the window box and scattering it all over my newly washed sofa covers.aaarrrrgggghh!

morning all
ginger - condolences to you and your friend. how sad for you all.
toots - welcome home! hope the wound heals quickly. let me know if not as my mum will be able to advise.
valli - glad you enjoyed the walk even if you're feeling it today! I also sleep on my front a lot, partly I think as it's more comfy being big chested, i prefer my back but it makes me snore!! Glad to see you have a good list of things to take on the walk now
We also walked yesterday - 10 miles of Thames path - slowly getting nearer to home! It was mainly a nice stretch, it's just a long way to go (have to cross london to Paddington to get there and back!) In the evening we had a chinese takeaway and bottle of wine and watched a Morse - perfect! I was shattered and DH had to almost carry me to bed at 11pm! Think I've got a bit of a viral thing, have had a sore throat for a couple of weeks and have a cold now. Still, could be worse!!
We're going out for lunch in a bit (when I've got dressed!) and then I plan to do very little....I do need to sort through my clothes which is the plan for this afternoon. Also need to do a couple of loads of washing. In fact, a list:
wm x 2
clean washing folded & away
dust bedroom
water plants
file emails on laptop
watch & send back rental dvd
sort through clothes
tidy stuff under bedMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
