hugs-Ginger. I agree with other just being there is what she needs right now. Maybe offer to make some food for her as no doubt she won't be thinking of herself right now.

Pigpen-hope the house gets sorted soon

  • Good Morning All

We were supposed to be on the way to Mum's for the mammoth clearing of the loft but I decided to open the Tax Credit Awards that came whilst we were away. I am now in a panic as they state that the full amount of the WTC element has been reduced to 0 due to my earnings and the child credit has reduced to £30 per month. It seems so unfair that they state on their web site that you can claim even if you earn up to £50k (I earn less than half that - single mum with 2 GT's) and yet they deduct all of the amount.

Trouble is that I have relied on this money coming in and now it will be very tricky - I just hope the mortgage will go down after the deal ends in October.

Sorry - rant over. Best get showered now and get other GT out of his pit.

Ginger Girl - so sorry to read about your loss

GFH - hugs for you on the credit things

Had a lovely day yesterday. The service went brilliantly and the meal afterwards was great. Sis looked gorgeous. I scrubbed up reasonably well. The weather was sunny but, once again, London was far too warm for me. Got home about 12.45 in the end. But then woke up early and couldn't sleep. So I've bathed and got the London muck off me. I may do some schlepping about the garden dozing today!

  • Ginger - so sorry about your friend. What a terrible thing.
AnWsmum - having only been on here a while I didn't know about your own situation - I'm so sad to hear what you and your children have been through.
soappie - glad to hear that your day went well yesterday.

Just called in to say that I have now slowly but steadily done all the rooms with the help of dh and ds's. I felt much worse again yesterday - is that what everyone else with sw has found - that it seems to come and go?
