Talk Talk both CPS and Line rental have always allowed you to dial 0871 and other NGN numbers.PF.0 -

I telephoned Telewest and said I was going to move unless they matched the offer, they agreed to reduce the price on my monthly broadband fee currently £17.99 to almost half for 6 months and I am not tied in and can move if I still wish.
I am happy even on 2mb broadband, at least it is constant!
Well, here's my two pennuth......
I'm with NTL, have been for several years. No real complaints. Talking with their Customer Relations (0800 052 9403) they have now matched the TT offer with Line rental, Talk Unlimited callplan and 2meg unlimited BB for £20.49 a month. Only part missing is the "free" calls to Australia, but hey! I'm happy

I left talk talk broadband in feb after a year of constantly on the phone to customer services (a contradiction in terms), over my bills, they seem to just pluck a figere out of the air and ask for it. Even though i have now left them and cancelled my DD with the bank, they still bill me and try to draw on the dd. recently they have opened a new call centre in south africa, this is just as bad if not worse....nah!! thats not possible.
I could not begin to go into the technical problems i have had with them.
Its just not worth it!!!!!!0 -
Erp. I've actually signed up just now for this service - we bought a computer yesterday to replace a poorly one. The downsides (til now) were the 18 month tie in and the reports of poor customer service I'd heard.
For me, the big upside is the free international calls, as I am American living for the last 18 years in the UK, so really cane the international phoning.
We don't really do P2P or big downloading - we've been on AOL dial up for ages (spit) - have I made a big mistake? Most of my internet activity is forums, Ciao and dooyoo...0 -
Just tried joining talk talk to get full package inc broadband, calculated my combined wanadoo and bt bill would be halved. Problem is they want to charge an extra £10 for broadband due to the exchange being run by bt. I thought all exchanges were owned and run by bt. Is this unlucky for me or is my suspicious mind detecting an advanced marketing scheme. Even the extra £10 is cheap for their broadband package and would save me £s anyway. Has any one else had the same problem ?0

I think you should be ok particularly as you're not a heavy downloader. TT appear to want non P2P users only subscribing to their Broadband!
We are fairly heavy users (2 teenage kidz) so I'm looking to migrate away from TT.0 -

I have a teenage daughter, who's greatest wish is to have MSN messenger to talk even more to her mates.
I hang my head in shame, I'm completely ignorant regarding the delights of P2P (I'm not even entirely sure what is involved, except peer to peer).

Not worth it for me I only pay £9.99 a month for 2mb, has a 2gb limit but I don't get close.
Phone calls 40p a month!.0 -
I'm so confused!!!!
I'm new to the money saving thing and I thought I'd start by sorting out my broadband/telephone (currently BT and wanadoo - who I have no probs with by the way!)
However, SO many people say yes to this TT deal and so many say no. Tiscali have something similar (£21.99 per month) and I'm not sure who to go with!
My dad has also confused me (typical!) about the BT involvement when it comes to TT. I know I have to pay £11 to TT for line rental - do I still have to pay anything to BT??
Any advice from anyone??!!!!!!!!May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch...:D0 -
I contacted NTL yesterday saying i was going to cancel I have talk unlimited 24 broadband & family pack. They offered me talk unlimited 24 free for 3 months so that a saving of £43.50 was very pleased I quoted talk talk they now have all the info about it so make sure you have all the data when calling them.0
