Do NOT buy anything from the cafe OR from the supposed-fresh self service salad part - EVER!!
...
i get a regular salad from there every day usually. you can tell if its rank or not, if so, i buy a sandwich.Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

Reminds me of when I went into Morrisons and ordered an omelette, only to be told they had run out.
I pointed to the shop floor and told them they had shelves of eggs, only to be told that all their meals were shipped to each store already cooked and frozen. They then microwaved them when ordered.
Yep, that's the gist of my 'Little Chef running out of omelettes' story.0 -
So why didn't you go elsewhere instead of making a big deal about it?
I did. I bought the stuff from Asda and made it myself. The point to was that a cafe within a supermarket totally run out of something at half 10 - 11 in the morning when there is tons of it within the supermarket. If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -
I'd be pleasantly surprised if a supermarket cafe made its meals from scratch, myself. Certainly I don't think it a reasonable assumption that they could help themselves to main store stock when they run out of their own.0

Sauce is sauce and breakfast is not complete without it. Why can't staff just use what used to be called initiative? Get a bottle of the shelf.
Think initiative and common sense are banned these days. Twice recently my Morrisons has been unable to supply hot water for tea when the tea machine has broken.
They are not alone - our Sainsburys cafe closed when the dishwasher broke down. As for M&S - it seems to be a DIY cafe as you inevitably end up clearing and cleaning a table yourself.0 -
All this over brown sauce0

I cannot eat chips without red sauce.
I cannot eat a bacon buttie without brown sauce.
I cannot drink tea without sugar. etc etc.
I would prefer to go without if I can't 'ave me sauce.0 -
The only Morrisons i have been to, really stressed me out and the fresh meat was more warm than cold, the aisles full of people and trolleys and aisles too close together,
I much prefer waitrose where the food is actually cold, less people and wider aisles. and best of all no screaming kids and pensioners ramming you with trolleys.
That is worth the extra money i pay out.
I have however not tried the cafe in waitrose, so i cannot comment!:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year
