Morrisons

From the moment I woke up this morning I fancied a full breakfast with brown sauce (very particular I know).
We had to go to Morrisons to get the weekly shopping so I thought I would nip in the cafe there and get a breakfast. Anyway when I got to the till to order I asked for a breakfast and a couple of sachets of brown sauce only to be told that they had run out of brown sauce. I asked them if they were joking and they said they weren't so I told them not to bother I would go somewhere else for my breakfast.
The family of 3 people behind said they weren't bothering either as the little boy wanted bacon and brown sauce.
What I can't believe is for the sake of supplying a bottle of brown sauce of what they have dozens and dozens of them on the shelves they lost out on about £15 -£20 worth of orders in the space of the 2 minutes I was there.
I ended up buying the stuff from Asda instead and making my own

Since Morrisons is essentially a nursing home that happens to sell groceries, their primary customer base is the over 75s who can't move far enough to go elsewhere.
As such food quality and restaurant service is appalling. I'm sure you appreciate this now.0 -

I can see what you mean but it would annoy me too.
If I went to the pub and they didn't have mayo for my chips, i'd be peeved off.
Hate Morrisons, it's a boring supermarket anyway.Originally Posted by Dr Cuckoo3

Hi
this didnt happen to be the new Morrisons at Rothwell by any chance??? coz if it is the amount of complaints I have heard about it especially the cafe, some people I know went on a few occassions to get a warm meal only to be given it on a freezing cold plate:eek: I have heard loads of various complaints regarding this store since it opened such as been over charged, goods priced wrong and staff been arsey with customers:mad:
I used to shop there for years now I do it at Sainsburys and find it a lot cheaper, now I only use Morrisons if I am desperate.0 -

Ridiculous as this is, it's health and safety.
Basically, the cafe people don't know exactly what's in the sauce from shopfloor & hence the insurance won't cover them if someone has a reaction/
Same thing with the cleaners- If they run out of the supplied stuff, they can't use anything from the shopfloor.

Yep that's correct. It's the fact that it's a supermarket with hundreds and hundreds of bottles but couldn't supply the cafe.
It was my own fault for being lazy anyway
It wasn't the Rothwell one it was Ponte. If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00
