Premier Property Lawyers are TERRIBLE! Do not use them in any circumstances. Do not be attracted by their cheap price tag they are awful!
After 3 months of stress, caused almost single handedly by them, they nearly lost the sale of my property and also they cost me £2,837 from failing to settle my mortgage on the date I instructed them to do so. To me, the acted professionally incompetence. Their complaint process is inadequate and unnecessarily drawn out for 28 days and you only get lousy automated email stating it would take 28days to get your complaint responded to which is illogical because most sales and purchase complete in that timescale so they in effect are useless to intervene to ensure you dont get stressed out during your transaction and lose money or opportunities to buy or sell.
I am going through the complaints procedure now but did struggle to get this but after a lot of badgering I was sent the following details in which to lodge my complaint:
Mrs Jackie Orgill-Evans

The call handler keeps calling the person a "HE" then a "SHE" then they are not available but they are in the office. But they cannot connect my calls to them because the initial caller has not connect the call to the right department and on top of that she refused to provide the client services complaint manager direct telephone number suggesting they are massaging those that can get through to the complaint handler!
A waste of money and awful lot of unnecessary stress. I will never trust them and will never use them again. It may cost £500 or £1000 more to use a decent reputable local conveyancer rather than this sort of online conveyancer gimmicks but following my experience between Dec15 and Apr16 I think I would invest my money elsewhere in future and not with Premier Property Lawyers and 1stPropertyLawyers and no matter how many times they want to rebrand there will be customers who will always take time out of their busy life to demonstrate how awful their conveyancing services are.0 -

Couldn't agree more. Jackie Orgill Evans did eventually reply to us via mail and they refunded us £50. I would complain to their ombudsman in your position. We did eventually complete despite them requesting mortgage funds for the wrong day....0

Check this out/Google Trust Pilot reviews and then make your mind up
You cannot contact them unless you book a telephone appointment! Ridiculous. Bad attitude as well. Awful experience!0 -
I am 8 weeks in to selling my house and purchasing a new build. My buyers are using ppl. They are mostly cash buyers with a small mortgage. Although I have mortgage sorted (within days of application) and my local searches done ( within 1 week of application) my buyers have yet to have anything done and forwarded to my solicitors. I am still waiting for proof of funds despite the estate agents calling and emailing them daily. The survey was done and approved several weeks ago but still no mortgage offer and the local searches are still outstanding even though they have apparently been paid for. I don't know if the primary issue is with my buyers or their solicitors but the reviews of ppl online are frankly shocking. I am at the end of my tether right now, especially as the builders of my new house are putting the pressure on because I have now gone over my 28 day reservation deadline. The stress is unbelievable and I don't know whether to simply pull the sale. If I thought it was simply that my buyers had lied and don't have the money I would tell them where to go and re market the house but I don't know if it is just the solicitors being agonisingly slow. I early am at the end of my rope now!!0

Are you able to get the contact details of your buyer to contact them directly?
I am sure that my sale (and purchase) would have fallen through if it wasn't how I was in direct contact up and down the chain.
It may be unorthodox, but it meant that when my conveyancer was waiting on PPL, I was able to call my buyer and tell them so they could chase PPL up.
In the end, my conveyancer was almost working for my buyer with how they had to keep asking me to tell my buyer what they needed to do.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
I feel like I'm doing everyone's job for them at the moment. My estate agent won't give me the buyers phone number, I wish I could just give them a call. My estate agent tell me they have been emailing or calling them daily but it's not so simple as he works out of the country. He has been told that if we don't have proof of funds by close of play tomorrow the house will go back on the market. I tell my solicitor what's going on, they tell me they'll call and chase the email me back to tell me exactly what I just to,d them!
What I don't understand is ...how can someone view a house 4 times since September, get builders quotes for extending and then not come forward with proof of funds. Surely they know whether they have the money or not right at the start. It's a 400 k house and I've been told that they're only taking an 87k mortgage. They have nothing to sell. They've paid a solicitor for searches and a survey so seem committed but why the hell no bloody proof of funds!!
I am absolutely gutted, ive been waiting to sell for 3 yrs, I hate this house, too many bad memories. My new house is ready to go, I'm ready to go and now it looks like it's all been for nothing. I don't think I can face going through it all again. So fed up right now.
Shouldn't estate agents check proof of funds when an offer is made?0 -
Sounds horrific
Some people just seem to take life very slowly and you wonder how they manage to cope with it, your buyer seems in this camp.
When we were selling, we had a 'cash buyer' who was very interested and made an offer, then it turned out that the cash was coming from various family members and then the brother pulled out of the deal. However, this was very early on as we (our estate agent) insisted on proof of funds and I'd hope that with searches going on with your sale, the buyer does have funds.
It also helped that our buyer and seller were in the country and as we'd met up, we had swapped numbers.
Has there been an update on yours?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
The house went back on the market at close of play on Friday. Within 5 minutes we had a request for a viewing! My original buyers have been told that the sale can be "resurrected" at any point should they show proof of funds.
I've spent the bank holiday trying to get it into a state to show. Ivesold half my furniture because I'm downsizing and most of my life is in boxes! I can't even put pictures back up because I've removed the hooks and filled the holes! I was trying to make sure I left it in a nice state for the buyers! I am still hoping they come through with the money but it is very hard to stay positive. The whole situation has really got me down.0 -
Just a quick update. My estate agents called earlier to book a couple of viewings. Nothing has been heard from my original buyers. I still feel in total limbo and wish I knew for definite what they were playing at.
Having to book viewings in again has really shook me up, I've done so many of them over the last 3 years and the thought of starting on that treadmill of ups and downs again makes me feel physically sick.
I guess at some point I'm going to have to come to terms with the fact I've been taken for a complete ride. One thing is for sure, I won't be accepting any offers without proof of funds up front in the future!
Does anyone know if buyers like this can be "blacklisted" With local agents as time wasters? The irrational part of me wants revenge and the rational part just wants to stop them doing this to someone else.:(0
