If I was you I'd move on and find a new buyer; take control.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0

Before accepting any offer, check if they are using PPL.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0

Ha ha!
I've just spoken to Ea and my buyers told them that on Tuesday all paperwork was on its way to their solicitors
Surprise surprise the solicitors are still saying they haven't had it.
I have 2 viewings this afternoon, if I'm lucky and an offer is made these people will have lost their purchase due to ppl' ineptitude. How the hell have they won industry awards? The ea say they have a number of files that are with ppl and all transactions are taking about 10 weeks longer than they should. It's a complete farce.
At least I have refound my mo jo enough to laugh about it....even if it a tight, strained very sarcastic bitter laugh!
It's a good job we don't have the same gun laws as the US... I'd be doing some serious target practice right now.0 -
If you don't get an offer off one of the viewings, if I was you, I'd ask your EA to tell your original buyer that you will only proceed with them if they change to a better conveyancer.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0

I am no longer sure who is the problem though...the buyer or ppl!
Apparently ppl have made big noises that they are now in possession of id from my buyer but nothing else. Whoop di flipping do.
The ea mentioned today that he is non Euro resident which I am surprised at because he sounded pretty English when he came to view. I don't know if this is causing issues.
So, I remain in limbo and literally no further forward than we were 10/11 weeks ago when the offer was made.

Don't use them, they are a bunch of admin staff who don't understand leases at all. Tried to ring and complain but they wouldn't here of it and put me on hold. They are referred to by William H Brown, part of the Sequence group and get a rferral fee. And guess what PPL email is? Yes sequence@PPL ! Appalling nearly 4 months and no completion date!0

Don't use bunch of admin idiots who are not lawyers and don't understand leases, lazy, uncaring, careless and thick! Tried to complain and was told I couldn't as I was 'on the other side' !0

I feel your pain Amanda! We were just very ver lucky that we got switched to a half-decent case worker halfway through the purchase. However I still had to chase everyday!0

I have to deal with this organisation via my job. The truth is your estate agent may well recommend this firm and the only reason for this is because they receive very good referral fees to do so!
You are unlikely to receive any personal communication as you will be just a number. I suggest that you instruct a trusted local firm instead.0
