I switched to Premier Property Lawyers after escaping from the dreaded clutches of Wolstenholmes.
I've been really impressed with them, I've been able to speak to the specific individual dealing with my case and at present, fingers crossed I don't have a bad word to say about them. If everything continues like this I should be in my new house by the end of next week and would certainly recommend them.
I'll post again once I complete to give a final opinion, but it looks rosy:j

We used PPL when we sold our house through Your Move.

I found they were easier to contact than the small local solicitor I used on my previous purchase!! I had a named contact, and if she wasn't available then a message was taken and she always got back to me.

    They were great, very efficient!

We are using ppl at the moment and the only gripe I have is lack of contact, when you ring them you very often can,t get through to your case handler and someone says I.ll get him to ring back but never does.:(

Just registered today so that i can ask you this question, Have you got any more feedbacks for Premier property lawyers. I will need to fill up the form and send it soon so doing some research about them, and also if you have used them before how are they with sticking to the quote they send, i dont want to be surprised by hidden charges that they may have.

    Many thanks.

Have you read their detailed terms and conditions?

    READ THEM!

If they are turgid and unreadable then you might not want to use the practice.

If they are readable then they should stipulate any extra charges that might be made or the circumstances in which such charges would be made. Then contact them and ask how likely each of the extras would apply in your particular case and get commitment from them on those points.

As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.

We used them last year. They were pretty decent - answered emails and calls, were generally helpful. And yes, as far as I remember the quote you get is the quote you pay (unless for example they need to request additional docs than is standard, and they have to pay the Land Registry for these, in which case they would pass that cost on to you - as would any company I would imagine). But no random extra charges were added in our case. Though obviously you should read the T&Cs anyway!

If you do decide to go with them I have some £50 off referral vouchers kicking around, that they sent us after we moved in.

We have used them to buy our new home and they have been fabulous!

I was worried I must say because they were so cheap - but have been scarily efficient!

    We've just exchanged today!

They have been much easier to contact than the 'proper' solicitor we used last time, and would use them again.

As I've said, we had a 'proper' solicitor before who was dreadful. It was obvious he wasn't interested in us in the slightest, and even dumped us on another solicitor in the company without telling us. His assistant didn't answer the phone and he never returned any or my calls / emails, so I don't think that getting a solicitor necessarily gets you any more than just a 'case handler'.

Obviously there is a chance with ALL conveyancing that something legally might be missed or done wrong, but I don't think that this is only going to be less qualified people!

I've used PPL professionally and personally for the last 7 years.

I've found them to be efficient, and they do what you ask them to do. The worst criticisms I've seen have been down to issues that they havent dealt with a matter as quickly as some people would like. However the same criticism can be levied at other solicitors.

I've also seen them deal with cases where they have taken a while due to previous mistakes not being picked up by other firms. Their ability to problem solve has impressed me most.
