Ok latest update no phone calls emails or letters or cheques etc no surprises there.
Had a very nice phone call from O2 regarding the bill that was sent however.
Turns out they have had verification from the people monitoring the situation and that the account would be credited and I should get an updated invoice to confirm that.
    Full marks to O2 ;)

    How many to Mobiles.co.uk?
  • Just to keep yourselves updated. Ben, our mobiles.co.uk Rep had lost my PM's. I have resent them and I waiting to hear back. from him or mobiles.co.uk....Fingers crossed......

    Hi Mel,
Bens used that before I'm afraid, along with inbox was full, deleted by mistake, he thought he'd attended to it. etc etc

Its funny though after he posted this a while back ....

Sorry Mel, I have got your PMs but I'm waiting for someone to get back to me - the other Ben as it happens.

This will get sorted tomorrow for you.

    Regards,

I think Tomorrow would have been the 25th wouldn't it ????

  • The excuse list is getting longer by the day, they may need to get a larger wall to put the list on and make it bigger so all their staff can read it.
I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!

More like an extension! That would also be in keeping with their payment timescales...
  • And guess what.............I'm STILL waiting for a reply to my email some 3 months later. I was promised a reply again on 20th August!

Hi Mobiles.co.uk REP. I am afriad that you are incorrect as I have been complaining to mobiles.co.uk for the past 3-4 weeks and I have not received any replies to my emails. I admit, at the beginning (around 20th July) I had a couple of phonecalls but my complaint has still not been resolved.

I ordered on the 13th July, finally received it on 22nd July wihtout a SIM Card. After several phonecalls (lasting around 1.5 hours each) I received a SIM Card which does not work. I have been informed that I need to pay the postage to return the Wii/Wii Fit and the phone (can't imagine how much tthat would cost!!) in order to place another order so that mobiles.co.uk can send me out another Wii/Phone? I find this very difficult to comprehend.

It is bad enough that Mobiles.co.uk have witheld my £150 "Credit check Fee" and have not even set me up with a contract with O2. (I have also made several phonecalls to O2, they have not got any records of the contract or of them receiving £150 fee, let alone requesting it). I have emailed Zoe Hirst, Ben Stroud and mgordonreid, all of which have not responded.

I am quite happy to forward you all the emails if you require them. I am at a stage now, where I feel mobiles.co.uk owe me compensation for my time and interest on my £150. I reckon I have spent at least 10+ hours dealing with this, it is absolutley ridiculous. Why can't someone just set up the SIM card and post it out????

I look forward to hearing from you!
    Melanie
    Hi Mel,
Just reading through your original post from last month again.
I'm sure you will realise by now that nothing happens and it's probably time to sort it out yourself. I see Ben's too busy selling phones on the Iphone thread at the moment !
The first thing I would do is get in contact with O2 customer services and explain the situation again and get them to confirm that you have not got any accounts set up by them in your name and that you do not owe them any money.
Make sure you get the name and extension number of the person you are speaking to and ask for the fax number that is closest to them.
Next send a fax to confirm conversation making sure your details and the faulty sim phone number are included etc Make sure you state the date you received the sim and the date you reported it to mobiles.co.uk as being faulty.
You next need to decide what you are going to do either carry on dealing with mobiles.co.uk or cut your losses ?????
It's not just about the money
  • So much for yet another "promise" of helping to sort out problems on here and the rep's reason for being on here. If the company paid proper attention to treating its customers properly and efficiently in the first place instead of attempting a PR job for prospective customers who might find their way onto this site before buying I would be giving them excellent feedback instead of justified flack. Apparently I have no "evidence" of their failings! Having put some (but not all of it) on these threads the unitiated may avoid walkiing calmly into the lion's den now that others have been showing the company up for what it is rather than what it says (when, that is, it is not spending a large proportion of its time trying shut up "potatoe"s - their word - like me!). I think he'll need a much sharper peeler - and threatening the other side of the law hasn't worked either!

    MJ,

Just because it's so symbolic of everything else you're wrong about, you do realise the plural of potato is actually "potatoes"?

I'm still waiting for an apology on the "bindiboo" thread by the way, I notice you went very quiet when proved wrong on that one as well.
