• Sorry Mel, I have got your PMs but I'm waiting for someone to get back to me - the other Ben as it happens.

This will get sorted tomorrow for you.

Regards,

Hi Ben

Still haven't received anything......

It's really not their fault. They are SO busy dealing with thousands of happy customers. It's not their fault if they make a promise but someone else in their organisation lets them down. Also not their fault that they rarely answer their phones and emails through normal channels. Give them a few weeks and they will "deal" with it and the matter will be "closed".

Hi Mobiles.co.uk Rep. Sorry to interrupt silk.....

I have sent a PM regarding my account (you asked me to on page 9 of this thread) but I have not had a reply to the PM.

I did however receive an email from Zoe Hirst today informing me that I need to send my complaint via email to supervisor@mobiles.co.uk.

I have done this, not sure why any of the other members of staff could have forward my email (as I requested on 4th August).

Can I also ask, are you Ben Stroud? Or a different Ben from mobiles.co.uk? If you are Ben Stroud could you confirm why you haven't replied to any of my emails?

Thanks

They are perfectly capable of forwarding your email - but they just want to delay or put you off by asking YOU to send another.

The supervisor can then say - oh well you did not contact me till such and such a date, when in fact you emailed the company days earlier.

Another well known CPW tactic.
I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!

The formal notice of cancellation of contract should be sent through normal channels If you want it sent through normal channels then you'll be waiting a very long time. A formal notice is NEVER sent on a 14 day cease of contract. In fact, its never sent at the termination of a full contract, just a "sorry you're leaving" letter from retentions.

The promised explanation from the Ops Mgr as promised
A sincere letter of apology to my partner (perhaps a bunch of flowers or small token maybe ?) Don't see why you should get flowers or a "token" You have already been compensated.

A more realistic offer of reimbursement more reflective of the costs incurred.
It is purely your choice to stay off work, if mobiles.co.uk told you to do it then fair play but if you just decided to then its you're own fault whether you like it or not. I'm quite amazed they've given you £50 to be honest.

To be honest Silk, you're just starting to come across as a money grabber trying to get what you can out of the company. This thread being bumped up all the time is beyond annoying now, if I was the rep I'd have put you on ignore by now and told you to ring up if you wanted more help.

(2) and (3) as far as headed notepaper letter goes would be the proper thing to do. Informal posts on here don't quite do it. Flowers? Maybe not, given the compensation cheque on its way.
The
Quite right and to be honest and as you say flowers or some other gesture probably not and if you beleive a cheque is on it's way after all the other lies and promises that he makes I'm surprised !

You may get more off your chest by more posts, but any improvement in £££ would be achieved in one-to-one.
Exactly how do you discuss it with them GD ? They don't reply to emails they don't answer the phone and they don't ring you ????????????????

Please suggest how else this could have been acheived without taking the time off work and to get it done before the 14 days GD ?
The costs incurred were a result of their lack of ability within their systems to deal with it.

I didn't ask for it to be cancelled untill the end of the 12th ???
If you see post #62 I told him I wanted to exchange a faulty phone for one that worked http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=24126049&postcount=62

I only decided to cancell the contract after two days of hassle trying to return it for one that worked ;)

How could they tell me to stay off work if we can't get through on the phone and they don't answer emails ??????????
And they haven't given me £50 as you say so theres no need to be amazed. ;)
Perhaps as you think it was my fault you might suggest how else we could have tried to get the job done ?

Your opinion of course ....however if you read the thread properly you will see I never asked for it. If I was going to chase for compensation it certainly wouldn't be done on a forum it would go through the courts.;)

Anyone want to guess what came in the post ?

Was it confirmation of cancellation ?

Was it an apology from mobiles.co.uk ?

Was it an explanation from the Ops Mgr ?

Was it a cheque ?

No to all the above it was a Bill from O2 for £10.42p

Will update later
