    Morning Slimmer's!
All quiet on here - is it the summer hols that's keeping everyone busy and away from this thread???

Anyway, well done pollyskettle and miss_nadine - keep it up!! :T

1st weigh in for me today and i've lost a lb, which after last weeks loss of 4lb, i'm very happy with!!! :j
I'm still finding that my will power is lagging, as the kids want sweets and biscuits or even icecream all the time, and i'm finding it hard to resist at times!!
Anyway, will try my best, and hopefully i will find it somewhere along the line!! and get back into the swing of it.

Good luck to all yu who have weigh in coming up - i'll pop back now and then to keep up with the thread.

Off to the local butterfly park today with the kids and a good friend, as the sun IS going to shine - They promised .

Have a good day all! xx
    :money::money::money::money:
    I love to save money
  • Morning all!!

So many losers - and all in the one place! It's good to see! ;)

Well done to Alared, and Miss_nadine!! :T:j:A

Congrats on packing in the cigs to you too Polyskettle - if you've the will power to do that - this weight loss m'larky will be a doddle for ye! ;)

Adrianhi - I agree, most of the WW bread tastes like you're chewing on paper - although some of it's probably thinner! :D The thick sliced wholemeal one is actually pretty decent though, although I'm not sure off the top of my head how many calories per slice it has.

Mizzbiz - Where did you download the calanetics video from? I went to a class years ago a couple of times, and would love to get back into it, but there don't seem to be any classes in my area any more.

Anyways - I'm off to update my calorie count for yesterday - I'll be back in an hour or so! ;)

    xx
  • Well done to you too Poshstock - I think we cross-posted! ;) A lb off is better than 1 on!! Enjoy your day out - sounds lovely! I'm waiting for OH to get out of his bed so we can go for a run ( )

Well done to the loosers
My Wednesday night weigh in was 10st 12lbs again, was the same a week ago but popped up to 11st in between. Probably just the usual variation you can get.
Poking my podgy bits there isn't a lot of excess fat left to loose and I'm starting to feel hunger biting on the usual daily diet.
Not sure how to deal with this, might mean more excercise and some mucle instead, which means no more weight loss.
    We'll see.
  • Well done Adrian and Alex!!!! :j:T An STS is second only to a loss - and much better than a gain - and it does sound as though you're nearing your ideal weight - if you're not there already!

Well - I'm finished logging on Calorie Count, so yesterday looked a little like this:

Calories Consumed: 1389 (I'm not getting down to the 1200 recommended, but to be honest I just think it's too low and I'm happy enough with the 1300-1400 even if it means my weight loss will be slightly slower!)

Exercise: I'm trying to "learn" to run, and I'm absolutely useless at it at the mo, but yesterday we went for a jog/walk combination which burnt up 171 calories (an end combo of 17 mins jogging, and 10.5 walking :o) - not very much so I'll have to find a way of increasing that on the days that's all I'm doing!

Can anyone recommend a decent, but fairly cheap set of scales? I'm spending more and more time at OH's and I'm getting withdrawals! ;)

    xx

    Morning all,

Despite all the bread and butter I think the food reduction generally is working.
    2lbs lost this week - now as 12st 5lbs !!! Yay.

Only down side is I can fluctate by more than that in a day!
I'll have some cheese please, bob.
  • Well done mizzbiz! :j Don't be so cynical though! ;) As long as you're weighing at the same time of day, and in roughly the same conditions (ie same clothes, just been to the loo etc) your reading should be fairly accurate - especially if you're making a weekly or monthly comparison rather than just daily!

2lbs off has defo to be celebrated!

I've just been for my "run" and i struggled big time today - We're using a lock on the canal as our bench mark, and I did so well getting there day and smashed what I did yesterday - but I really struggled on the way back - my legs were just so tired!

Everyone is doing so well - it's really motivating!!

Dragon - I'm trying to cut down portion sizes to start with. We tend to make a receipe that serves 4 people and eat it between the two of us and a two year old that doesn't eat that much!!!

I'm now saving a portion for lunch the next day and freezing a portion - healthier and money saving:rotfl:

I've been measuring my cereal in a morning to the serving it says on the box, which is about half the bowl full I was having previously. I'm going for a jog (would like to say run, but would be just kidding myself!) Mon to Thur - can't seem to motivate myself Fri, Sat, Sun - but do an exercise class most Sunday's if I can. The exercise doesn't seem to make a difference - I need to cut down the portion sizes and stop all the treats on a weekend, can eat a packet of jaffa cakes in one sitting.

Anyway enough of me rambling on, done ok last couple of days, haven't got any treats in for tonight - tomorrow having a bbq, so that will be tougher. will aim to post again tomorrow night and hopefully that will keep me on the straight and narrow if I have to own up to what I've had :o

    Have a good weekend everyone
