I've read in some places 2lbs a week / 7 or 8lbs a month is about as fast as you want to go to be healthy.

Well, not a good day for me . I went into boots to be weighed as usual, ( which is no mean feat with a potty training, walking on reins, 2 year old and a 10 year old stroppy daughter :rolleyes: ) and guess what........the scales were not working, AGAIN!! :mad:
So off we all trotted up the other end of the high street to another chemist that has one of those fandangled machines that tells you your height/weight/shoe size etc.. and have to pay 50p for the priviledge (instead of the 30p in boots) only to be told when i got on it that i had put on 2lbs!!!! so now i'm , do i take this weight as gospel, or what??

I am seriously thinking tho' of changeing to this set of scales as they are new and probably won't break down like the prehistoric set that boots have!

I think that i will have to go with these for now anyway, so that makes my total for august......an embarrassing 1lb.

I'm off for a weekend away with my 10yr old DD to a b+b so will have to try and be very good and hope that the scales are not too cruel next week.

Anyway, hope that everyone has a good bank holiday, and that some or all of us get some decent sunshine, and look forward to the september thread.

Well Ive only managed 3lbs but I did put on 2lb on hols and thats gone.

Hethmar that is still 3 pounds you no longer have, to that to me is a successful month! Summer was always going to be tricky - a bit like December really!

Yes Dragon, in fact another 6 oz off today so 3 and half pounds nearly - equal to 7 packs of butter not on my body I like to think of it as packs of butter, makes you realise just how much fat it really is.
