I'm joining in - I've just got down to 11 stone and would love to be 10 stone 7 or elss by the end of August. I'm 5 foot 6 so getting to 11 stone means I'm finally not 'overweight' by BMI!
I know BMI is a terrible indicator of body composition (fat vs muscle etc) but it's cheering all the same.

Good to see you stinamoo and welcome to there being less of you :D

    Welcome stinamoo!

I have done so badly today, just eaten far too much. :( I need some serious motivation. I'm off to try on a bikini followed by looking at thin photos of myself from a few years ago. Here's hoping it works...

  • Dragon - I bow down to your impressive inventiveness with the titles!! Well done my lovely! ;)

May I re-join once more - and I promise to take it much more seriously this month! I weighed in at 10 stone dead on Saturday morning - so realistically I've 7lbs to go to get to target! (Hhhhhmmmm - seem to have been saying that for a while!!)

My eating habits have been a bit up and down - but the fact I had to give my car back when I left my job does mean I've been walking my little socks off since I got back from hols - so hopefully that's a step in the right direction (Boom, Boom!!)

Tomorrow - I'll start as I mean to go on - I'm fully intending to go to a Bodyblitz class at 10.45am, and I'll get started on my food diary tomorrow too - I'll maybe even giving the dreaded "cc" a bash and start calorie counting!

Tara - That almost sounds like self harm my love! ;) There are 21 meals in the week - start by taking each one in isolation and try to make it as "good" as you can. If you slip up with one - forget it and concentrate on the next one...... (that's the theory anyway! :D)

Motivation could be to take a couple of photos wearing it and pin them onto the fridge, along with one of your "thin ones". :rotfl::rotfl:

Seeing a pic of me in a bikini always gives me a shock and the motivation I'm looking for, hope it helps you!

Think I ate something dodgy yesterday as I spent most of the evening in the bathroom, I'm still trying to work out what it was.

Will be taking it easy food-wise today, and see how my body reacts. I can't even have my beloved coffee when I am feeling a bit urgh, it doesn't agree with me at all, so its cups of tea to help me get through work.

Hope everyone is well and having a good Tuesday

crapwithmoney, thanks for the advice! I will do as you say and take one meal at a time. It was tortuous seeing myself but I think it has worked i.e. it horrified me! :rotfl:

alared - I would pin up a pic of me in it, but if OH saw it I would be mortified! I know he sees me sans clothes all the time, but the bikini is so tight it is not the most flattering view! I actually look better in the nude than with too-tight undies on :o

coffeeholic, sorry to hear you've been poorly, hope you feel better today. Keep drinking the tea xo

Welcome back CWM.com, I hope you have a nice successful August!

Thanks for the comments on the titles - I try and be inventive so that people find it fun :p

Okay just eaten lunch - time to input it into Calorie Count and then settle down for an afternoon with a good DVD and some stitching!

    Afternoon all!!

Thanks Dragon - sending some "success thoughts" your way too..

I'm now on day 2 of my calorie counting mission - it's very time consuming! Anyways. yesterday looked a little like this for me:

Water - Mineral Or Tap Cals 0

    Breakfast
    Banana, 1 med. - Fruits Cals 110

    Lunch
    Cream of Chicken Soup
    Milk - Semi Skimmed
Bread - White, Medium Sliced, Square Total Cals 614

    Dinner
Chicken, Breast, Meat Only - Cooked, Stewed
    Blue Dragon Coconut Milk
    Sauce - Fish, Nam Plam
    Blue Dragon Green Curry Paste
Onions - Cooked, Boiled, Drained, Without Salt
Mushrooms - Cooked, Boiled, Drained, Without Salt
    Cut Green Beans
    Sugars, Granulated
Rice, White, Long-grain, Regular, Cooked (Thai Curry) - Total Cals 793

    Snacks

Peppermint Herbal Tea - Herbal Tea Cals 0
    Milky Way Bar Cals 104

    Total Calories Consumed 1,622

I went to a 45 min exercise class, then walked the 40 mins home - which apparently burnt off 447 calories. I've not quite got round to figuring out how many calories I'm allowed to eat in a day yet - I'm not sure that I have the time to go through it ;)

My eating wasn't too great yesterday - basically down to a lack of preparation - mum's getting a new kitchen in so hadn't much choice there, then OH made the dinner and hadn't heart to tell him it was too unhealthy! :D The Mars bar was just sheer lack of self control - I let myself get too hungry before dinner and gave in cos I was starving..

I ache all over today - my body blitz class certainly did the trick! - Although, today I'll just go for a swim - not so energetic, but it might slacken off my muscles a bit!

Ok peeps - I'm off to clean the kitchen, finish off making my (healthy) soup then I'm off to the gym for a wee swim! See you all later - happy slimming

    xx

I resorted to posting images the few times I've posted a caloriecount.about.com chart.
If you have the web browser window selected, press Alt-"Print Scrn" (next to F12 key), then open Microsoft paint, select Edit-Past and the browser window image is there. Save that image, upload to to photobucket or similar and you can post it here.
It's a bit of a "faff" for sure.

It is time consuming, I stopped after a couple of weeks by which time I had a regular eating and drinking pattern going with calorirecount's help so didn't need to keep going with it.
