Well, you may be reliving your teenage acne next - pmsl

Gee thanks (mutters friends like these ...........), ooh I could do with getting my teenage fitness back as well! So that will be back to a size 10/12 and able to run 10 miles a day rather than a size 26/28 and able to hobble 10 feet (with crutches) :o:rotfl:

Well, I guess none of us will get back to that, just enjoy the fact/be grateful we once were like that and lets try to make the best of ourselves now, eh? :)

I just felt a bit chilly, thought, erm, have I got a cardi that fits me. Reach into drawer to get out pea green one not worn for three years and woo hoo, it not only goes on, I can do the buttons up and its still loose.

Its little triumphs like that which keep us going isnt it :)

Get well soon - I guess with mumps the positive side is its hard to swallow? :)

2nd WI tomorrow and not looking forward to it.
I have been away all week,so just catching up with everyone.
When you`re not at home you can so easily drift out of your normal eating routine and habits.
If I break even tomorrow I`ll be happy.
Started the month at 12st, lost 2 lbs last week, tomorrow`s another day.

Yes thats another important thing isnt it - even if we slip for a day, then we shouldnt be disheartened and give up because its just one day out of the rest of your (slimmer) life.

    Evenin all :hello:

Well, I'm (hopefully) back on track after a disastrous few weeks (those 4lb gained  ). 2lb down at last weigh in which brings me to a total of 13lb since I started (2lb more than a month ago, whoops!). I'm just doing my best to remind myself that however slow it is, it's still almost a stone less than I was.

Anyway, me and the mate I go with have resolved to get back on track this week - we now weigh exactly the same so we can race each other :D

Our WW leader has asked us both to write down 'one small thing' we can do this week - and show her next week along with how we did (ooh, homework! :rotfl: ). So my 'one small thing' this week is to 'track' (write down)... EVERYTHING. One of my main falling down points is knowing I've gone over by a point or two for the day, so giving up writing it all down, and thinking 'well, I've blown it today, I might as well have that chocolate' (my logic is flawed, I know). So my goal this week is to write everything down, even if it's over points (which I'm not planning on doing!) to give myself that kick up the bum when I look at it the next day and go 'OMG I used x points!' :D

Maybe we should all promise ourselves 'one small thing' - a small, achievable goal towards weight loss - this week. We all know that planning to 'give up chocolate forever' or 'go to the gym every day' rarely works, so what about something more achievable? 'I will go to the gym twice this week' or 'I will get my five a day every day this week' or 'I'll cut down my portion sizes by one spoonful'. Whaddya think guys?

Not the disaster I was expecting
    11-11
one pound lossed this week, 3 lbs total since the start of this month.

I do agree it`s a good idea to write down EVERTHING you eat and drink in a day and assess it.
These days it`s much easier to C t Cals because nearly all you buy has it on the labels.
If you can remember the basics such as fruit, bread and other staples,it`s not so hard.

Good luck to all and remember you`re only doing it "just today".

    You read my mind!!! :T

I woke up this morning feeling very guilty, as I have been eating too much and snacking on sugary rubbish and I know it's catching up with me, I feel so bloated and yuk.

So I literally made a bargain with myself. No chocolate at all - just for the weekend - and I *will* feel better and probably lighter come Monday morrning. If not, I can eat all the chocolate I want. Of course I know that not snacking on chocolate will make me feel lighter and give me kick start, so I am hoping that I won't want to undo the damage by Monday.

So that's my one small thing! If it works I'll try to add something else.

Here's to a healthy weekend! Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, I have felt so bad about my eating habits that I didn't want to talk about it. I have been following the thread though, you are all keeping up the good work.

    :j

Edit: I might try tracking my food as well (if I remember). I find it enough of a challenge tracking my spending!! :o
